I had the most enchanting experience at the Wonderful Handcraft Shop located in the lobby of the historic Peace Hotel.

While the Peace Hotel itself is a landmark of old-world glamour, this little shop is the soul of the place. It is far more than just a souvenir stand; it is a carefully curated gallery of local talent. The items on display are authentic, beautiful, and tell a story of our culture that you simply cannot find in the mass-produced markets.

However, what truly elevated the experience was the staff. The teacher/artisan who assisted me was an absolute treasure. She didn’t just "sell" me an item; she educated me. She took the time to explain the intricate techniques behind the craftsmanship, the history of the materials, and the meaning embedded in the designs. Her patience and passion for her work are palpable. She has the rare gift of making you feel like a friend rather than just a customer.

I left with a unique piece of art that I will cherish forever, but more importantly, I left with a deeper appreciation for the skill and dedication of local artisans.

A massive shoutout to the amazing teacher in the shop. She was so incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She explained the stories behind the crafts with such warmth and passion. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to preserving tradition. She made the shopping experience memorable and special.

الغرفة لا بأس بها، والموقع ممتاز جدًا، فهو قريب من محطة المترو والأسواق، وهذا أكبر ميزة في الفندق. لكن الحمام قديم جدًا، والبانيو مخدش ومتهالك، كما أن دش الاستحمام لا يعمل بشكل جيد، وبعض لمبات الغرفة لا تعمل أيضًا. الفندق يحتاج إلى صيانة وتجديد، خاصةً للحمام والمرافق.

Comfortabel op toplocatie in hotel met bijzonder verleden.
Pros:

Excellente locatie in Beijing om verboden stad te bezoeken en om in de buurt te shoppen en te eten. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. Het is een hotel met een bijzondere geschiedenis en er zijn twee vleugels met elk een bijzonder architecturaal karakter.

Cons:

Wij zaten in de oude vleugel van het hotel. Die is best een beetje afgeragd. De tapijten zijn oud en vies en er is geen bijzonder uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Ik adviseer een duurdere kamer in de andere vleugel te nemen.

Nice cultural stay at the Peace Hotel
Pros:

The peace hotel had nice accommodations and also fun cultural activities offered for free to guests of all ages. We made pretty Chinese cloisonné flowers to take home as souvenirs and the auntie running it was kind and informative. The peace hotel also had a lot of freebies like bottled water and helpful staff.

Bon rapport emplacement qualite prix.
Pros:

Ce grand hotel est parfaitement situé dans un quartier proche des monuments avec beaucoup de commerces et de restaurants pour tous les budgets.
La literie est confortable et l'accueil di personnel parfait.

Cons:

La salle de bain était un peu ancienne et la chambre un peu poussiereuse notamment la moquette sous le lit.

Wonderful handcraft time
Pros:

The kids had an amazing time learning some handcraft with a really thoughtful and patient teacher! They loved the Lord Rabbit Painting and found out that it takes a lot of work to be able to reproduce one! Really recommend that activity for a lovely bonding moment. Plus note: the teacher was really kind, helpful and patient through the activity. We love it

Top Service, Great Stay!
Pros:

We had a great stay at Peace Hotel! Hotel manager Jason gave us a warm welcome and set us up very nicely. Though we made a little mistake by booking, he made it possible for us as a boys group to have close rooms. So big thank you to Jason and big recommendation to every one else - Peace Hotel is top!
