Make sure you book a room with a sea view, it is spectacular. The hotel is perfectly sited for the old city and for the shopping area. There is a Spar across the road and one block down the street. We did not dine here but the breakfasts were excellent. Staff are really helpful with directions to local tapas bars. We loved Tarragona and when we return we will stay in the H10.
We spent 3 nights a a junior mare suite and the views were amazing. The room is well appointed with lots of space and beautifully decorated.
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which is filled with good options of fresh food.
We also used the parking and although it was a bit expensive, it was practical. The location of the hotel is near the center and you can walk everywhere.
All our interactions with the personnel were good. The only thing we had problems was with missing towels one day but they were promptly brought to the room.
We will certainly be back to this hotel .
An absolutely stunning hotel perched overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean coast with amazing views over the sea or city depending where your room is. We were very fortunate to get a good rate for a Deluxe Mare room overlooking the sea with a huge terrace and quite possibly the best view that can be imagined. The bed was ultra comfortable, the bathroom amazing with two sinks and a superb walk in rain shower. Great storage facilities and a fridge. Staff were fabulous, everything was just first class about this hotel. The only thing I maybe should have questioned at the time was the complementary drink at the hotel bar for H10 Club Members. It said cocktail but we were told only cava or a soft drink. The next H10 we stayed at in Barcelona a few days later we were given exactly the same voucher and it was valid for any cocktail or drink they had at the bar. No big deal at all just an observation. We love H10 Tarraco and would absolutely come back to stay here again. It’s the best hotel in Tarragona without question.
This hotel is amazing. Our bags were wisked away to our very spacious and clean standard room.
The hotel location is fabulous. The outdoor pool was closed because it was the end of season but the pool was clean and the terrace a good size. The hotel roof bar made this holiday for me.A real sun trap with amazing views. All the staff were helpful and courteous, thankyou and well done.
Perfect location in this beautiful city. Mini suite was very good. Reception staff particularly helpful and friendly.
Third time at this hotel.
Very much enjoyed our recent stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable with an enormous bed: we were in Room 411 but noticed that there was no 413…. We hadn’t booked a room with a sea view but we had at least a partial one. The room was equipped with USB sockets which made charging phones etc easier. There was a lot of choice of both hot and cold food at breakfast, and my wife was particularly keen on the range of cakes and pastries offered. The hotel is well situated, overlooking the amphitheatre, and it is centrally placed, making it easy to get to the various attractions in the city. Would be happy to return.
Beautiful hotel, great location and very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend if visiting Tarragona.
Fabulous location. Views from patio excellent. Comfortable room with nice barhroom. Pools nice but crowded.
Nice service and hotel
Great views from the room balcony
Terrible Service... and NO RESPONSE to complaints...
WHY did hotel insist on the room entrance while resting... just to check mini bar?
Crazy interruption... PLEASE EXPLAIN....?
But NO response from hotel management and staff apparently going to all rooms?
As we listened to constant knocking...
Beautiful property with lovely amenities and friendly helpful staff. Great location to walk to the beach, shopping and the historic centre. The rooms were well appointed and very spacious. Loved having double sinks.
Gorgeous hotel with beautiful views of both the city and the beach. Staff ate amazing. Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Stored our luggage upon an early arrival & gabe us immediate access to all hotel amenities. Helped us with bus ticket booking and calling taxis to take us places. Staff just really went above and beyond, which made our stay exceptional. Hotel itself is just gorgeous. Nice comfotable rooms woth big bathroom, and gorgeous balcony view.
Incredible stay. Staff were amazing and super helpful. Our suite was lovely with a truly exceptional view. It was my birthday across our stay and the staff left a lovely note with a bottle of wine while we were out. Both pools were great with plenty of loungers and towels but the view from the rooftop pool takes some beating. The location is also perfect. I cannot rate this hotel more highly, book it with absolute confidence!
I'm so surprised that all these negative reviewers act shocked that the Santa Tecla Festival was going on! That's why we choose this place. It is very clear to all who spend a moment researching where they will be visiting that Santa Tecla is the patron saint of Tarragona and that this festival is over 400 years old. And if you didn't know that Spaniards can party all night, well, now you know! Can't wait to return to H10 Tarragon, a jewel overlooking the Roman amphitheater and blue Mediterranean Sea. Thank you for everything!
Tarragona is a hidden gem, and this is the hotel to choose if you go. Beautiful sea views, but also right at the entrance to the charming old quarter of the city. Everything in the hotel feels fresh and well-appointed.
The ocean view was absolutely stunning. The view of the Colosseum was amazing. The staff was super friendly. We had an amazing stay.
We booked the hotel on Monday, 15 September 2025 with arrival on Thursday, 18 September 2025 as a destination for a family holiday with two young children (an infant and a 2 year old). I received an email on Wednesday, 17 September 2025 at 3:08pm – after the free cancellation period had expired - stating that there was a festival happening in Tarragona and that there will be festivities in the vicinity of the hotel which “may” extend until the late hours. This was wholly inadequate. The email recommended that guests review the programme so that they could enjoy their visit. Firstly, this email was received outside of the free the 24 cancellation window for guests who opted for free cancellation at an extra fee. For those guests who selected a non-refundable option, there was no prior notice of this festival or the impact it “may” have on their visit. Secondly, the hotel knew of the schedule and its timetable; it would be unreasonable to expect a guest to review a festival programme and decipher the location of festivities in a city they are unfamiliar with. Thirdly, management knew these facts and deliberately withheld this information from prospective guests. This is completely unacceptable, deliberately dishonest and does not represent any ethical form of business practice that any guest should condone or future guest should support.
However, notices appeared in the hotel elevators stating that the festivities would continue until 4am. At first, we assumed it was a typo – until the music began on a stage directly in front of the hotel. The volume was extraordinary, and the concerts ran until 4am from Friday to Sunday. Sleep was impossible, which was especially challenging with an infant and a toddler. What was supposed to be a relaxing family holiday became exhausting and stressful. The hotel was not fit for purpose, not as described and should be embarrassed in its attitude and treatment of paying guests.
The stay was further marred by inconsistent service. Due to availability, we had reserved different rooms for different nights. On check in, we were abruptly told we would need to check out after the first night, leave our luggage in reception, and return after 3pm to check back in. I asked whether our packed bags could be moved by staff to the new room – something standard in most hotels – and was rudely refused. The next day, another staff member was surprised at this and confirmed that moving bags between rooms should have been the minimum standard. Such inconsistency reflects poorly on management and training.
Overall, the hotel was not as described, not fit for purpose during the festival, and demonstrated a lack of transparency and professionalism. I would not recommend staying here.
Shocking experience. As other reviewers have noted, we also stayed during the Santa tecla festival. Hotel said to expect ‘some’ noise during the festival. They did not tell us to expect no sleep at all, with loud rock concerts on every night literally right outside our room in the plaza directly below - until 4-5am each night. Then people cleaning up after. We flew in from Australia economy so no sleep, then another 2 nights of no sleep. Has been hell. Do not book this hotel! No attempt at honesty or even anything to mitigate. Should have been 1/4 price for the insane experience we did not think could be possible in any destination.
Our stay at H10 Imperial Tarraco (Sep 21–23, 2025) was a nightmare. The Santa Tecla festival music was so deafening until 5:00 am that it felt like our bed was inside the concert. Room 102 had zero soundproofing, turning what should have been a vacation into pure stress and exhaustion. The hotel knew the festival dates but deliberately withheld this to avoid cancellations. Deceptive, dishonest, and unbearable, avoid this hotel at all costs.
