Staff super friendly. Excellent location.
The free coffee and freshly baked cookies are great! Great breakfast too. Amazing experience for us.
The place was so clean, professional staff, the owner was so nice and respectful. I will come back soon. I already refer some friends to visit this hotel. Thanks again
Everything was perfect
free upgrade to king bedroom
Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly by Mr. Kitson. He invited my daughter and I to enjoy a drink from the coffee/ cocoa bar and a cookie. He was incredibly helpful and offered to upgrade our room to 2-queen beds, which was appreciated, however was also the reason for the lower score in the review.
The batteries in the fire alarm of our room were low and it started chirping/talking at 4:00 am. I called the desk and was told to "push the button" on the fire alarm to make it stop. I am 5' 1" and had to stand on a table to reach the alarm. Pressing the button didn't work. I tried removing the batteries, but the alarm was hard wired and continued to chirp/ talk. The staff on the phone said "new batteries should make it stop." Well, yes, but I don't carry extra batteries. He said if my two attempts at troubleshooting did not work, he didn't know what else he could do, but that he would "try to get someone over to take care of it."
30 minutes later, I called back. He said I gave him the wrong room number (I did not, I read it directly from the room key envelope) and would have someone come over. Upon arrival to our room, a gentleman handed me 2 batteries. I told him I wasn't getting back on the table to replace them, this is not my responsibility. He tried unsuccessfully to replace the batteries when he finally looked at me and said "Look lady, I don't know what to do. I'm not maintenance. I'm not used to getting these calls at 4:00 in the morning." I said I completely understood, however, I don't work for the hotel and the fire alarm needed to stop chirping and talking as there is no sleeping through it. He then proceeded to unplug the fire alarm completely and left it on the table saying someone would take care of it in the morning. While I openly admit that I was incredibly stressed out (the only reason I was at the hotel was because my child had an urgent appointment at Children's Hospital) and I was highly sensitive to the fact that we were there to get a good night's sleep for the appointments and very clearly did not, I don't think I'm overreacting when I say that this is highly inappropriate.
No telephone, bedside light not working, better bed needed
Staff are friendly, like Rara
I was a little late to check in, but when I did check in, I was given a different person’s room key, which I did not notice until the day after. At 3 am, the people who were meant to be in the room I was given tried to get into their room, waking me up in a panic thinking someone was trying to break into the room. I stayed awake, stressed for a few more hours and didn’t sleep well. The bed was very uncomfortable as well.
Hotel was fine.
Getting charged $25 for parking. Shade in the room didn’t block out the bright light outside. Heating unit was insanely loud.
Stained comforter, mold in restroom, dated & extremely low toilet and counter top, terrible lighting, and that was the second room. The first room smelled very strongly of cigarettes & the smoke alarm kept beeping. Would never stat there again & I'd appreciate a refund!.
The hotel was perfectly good as advertised. Good location, serviceable. Staff were very nice and responsive eg a housekeeper who quickly got me Keurog pods.
It’s a little rundown. Bathroom a bit grungy.
It was a motel. Had to leave property because of Front desk lady, Hellen. Felt unsafe.
The staff was super friendly and patient with me since I had just arrived very jetlagged from abroad. Tthe bed was clean and quite comfy.
The bathroom was not very clean, especially the bathtub which contained some hair from the previous guest. I am sorry, but that is not acceptable. In addition, the heating is not very efficient during the Winter months since the bathroom was ice cold.
The staff was very friendly.
I didn’t expect it to be like a motel. Anyone could come up to the door without going through a lobby. Could have been cleaner.
