We visited on Sunday for dinner, the hotel was busy but that’s not an excuse, now let’s get down to business, I ordered the salmon which came with roast potatoes, cabbage and bacon, mashed potatoes parsnips and carrots, so what was wrong with it, well the salmon was nice, but that’s where it ends, the mash was dry, the roast potatoes were hard and dry, the bacon was through the cabbage and was not cooked, the carrots and parsnips very poor and dry.
Catherine ordered the roast chicken which came with (you guessed it) hard dry mash, the same cabbage and bacon 🤮, and hard roast potatoes, very poor and not cheap at £79, needless to say we won’t be back for a while now, we’ve had enough, oh, btw I did enjoy the prawn cocktail for starters, while Catherine had a desert which wasn’t too bad, but the two mains 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Everything was great - had a very relaxing time enabled by well-trained and caring staff. We will be back before too long for some more relaxation.
A perfect spot to explore the nearby GOT attractions. The hotel itself is very cosy, has a beautiful courtyard and comfortable rooms. The staff graciously ensured our family had rooms nearby. The breakfast options were nice as well, overlooking the river.
The rooms weren't very clean and items left by previous guests hadn't been removed. Facilities were also dated - pool/ gym etc. Otherwise a decent stay.
Where do we even begin?! Our wedding day at Dunadry Hotel and Gardens was absolutely perfect from start to finish.
Dunadry holds a very special place in our hearts, as it was where Joe had his first job and made many wonderful friendships along the way. From the moment we viewed the venue and had a catch up with the amazing wedding coordinator, Sarah Jane, we knew we would be in the best hands.
Sarah Jane made the entire planning process so easy. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly professional, always responding promptly to our many questions and offering brilliant advice and reassurance throughout. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble! I even had her in on keeping the Casino Tables a secret from Joe!
The bridal party stayed in the cottage the night before the wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. We were able to relax the night before with the hot tub and being already at the hotel the morning of meant we could enjoy an easy going and stress free morning, complete with breakfast and coffees delivered to us.
Our wedding day itself ran so smoothly, and every member of the Dunadry team played a part in making it feel effortless and seamless. A very special thank you goes to Malachy, our incredible MC. It meant so much to have him in that role, especially as he first met us both over ten years ago when we were just teenagers. He was an absolute gentleman and ensured everything flowed perfectly throughout the day.
All of guests all had a fantastic time, and so many commented on how delicious the food was. We truly could not have asked for a better venue or team to celebrate our special day with. We would highly recommend Dunadry Hotel and Gardens to any couple planning their wedding. We will cherish the memories of our amazing day forever!
Venue is great simple to get to and free parking. Room that we were in was fresh and had plenty of space. Staff in attendance were quick and friendly. Good garden walk areas and outside seating if dry !
We have stayed here quite a few times and it has always been good.
Stayed there for 8 nights, rooms are clean and the hotel is nicely.
The team in the hotel is very friendly and the kitchen / restaurant is very good.
We had a fabulous visit with relaxing hot tubs, sauna and private gardens. We booked the thai massage and it was just amazing. Food is excellent, so tasty and reasonably priced! Rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. Highly recommend for a lovely treat.
We chose the hotel for our family reunion and were allocated the River Suite. Guests within our party benefited from discounted accommodation after our event. We felt extremely well looked after with our tables set out as requested and at an optimum layout for our party. The food we had chosen ( 5 dishes) was delicious and the bar was only a few steps away down the corridor. The hotel was dealing with several functions on a very busy Saturday in June. The in-house cake cutter sorted out our cake after we had eaten and this went perfectly with our tea and coffee. Outside the peacocks in the gardens were a perfect addition with their impressive displays. In the evening most of our party ate in the hotel restaurant where the food was both tasty and beautifully presented. My dish, salmon risotto with chorizo and butternut squash, was a real winner. Around the hotel there was more entertainment, which added to the atmosphere. Thanks to the Dunadry Hotel and Gardens - we really had a wonderful day.
The hotel was clean and well presented, the grounds were lovely - even though the weather didn't really allow me to explore too much in :-) . The staff were all amazing - really friendly and helpful. and the food was beautiful. My room was very spacious, well presented and well insulated for sound. I was about 10 mins from Belfast International (where I was working) and 30 mins from Belfast City - both a really easy drive. This is not the hotels fault and they warned me - Watch out if you are using any Taxis to travel outside of the city - there is a £12 surcharge !! I would definitely go against for business and/or pleasure
This hotel is just a lovely place to stay. The hotel itself is well furnished and well maintained. It is all very clean, no matter where you go. I was there for a family reunion and the buffet food was absolutely fantastic. The twin room we had was really comfortable with plush decor. The bathroom toiletries were branded Rituals. A very nice touch. I used the pool facilities. The man on reception was very helpful.
The peacocks are a sight to see and made themselves heard, but not overnight!
We stayed in one of the spa garden rooms with access to the spa. There are only 10 rooms with access so I can’t imagine it ever feeling very crowded. We stayed on a Friday and it was quiet, the weather wasn’t amazing but when you are in the hot tub you really aren’t that worried! 3 large hot tubs, a sauna and 2 relaxation areas plus a freezing cold plunge pool make up the spa garden.
We checked in at 3pm and were happy with our room, large bed, proper shower and a welcome plate with sweet treats. There was tea, coffee and biscuits there also. Plus bottled water which we put in the fridge (nice bonus as this was not mentioned on the website). We got straight into the spa garden and had a lovely relaxing afternoon. Ordered drinks to the hot tubs which was great.
We went for an early dinner and ate in the lounge, my partner had ribeye steak which he said was cooked perfectly and probably the best dinner he’s ever had in a hotel. I had a special of cod with leek and chorizo risotto which was delicious. We then took our wine and cheese board back to our room. We then went back to the spa as it is open until 9pm and we basically had the place to ourselves.
We ordered room service breakfast which was perfect exactly what we ordered and all hot and fresh.
We then were able to spend more time in the spa before late check out (£10 for an extra hour).
The whole experience was topped off by seeing the big white peacock showing off his tail feathers as we were leaving.
Sleep quality was marked down slightly as my partner prefers a softer bed and we found there was quite a bit of light coming into the room in the morning.
We have our wedding booked here for August and staying overnight just made us even more excited for our big day.
Thank you Dunadry Team ( especially Sarah Jane)
Celebrating my grandsons wedding to his beautiful wife with family and friends It was a very emotional day.
We stayed at Dunadry Hotel and Gardens for my sister’s wedding and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the cottages the night before the wedding, which were comfortable, spacious, and perfect for spending quality time together before the big day. We fitted the wedding party, the hairdressers and makeup artist all in one room! They provided buns , macaroons & bubbly for us on arrival. Then provided breakfast baps & pastries for breakfast the next morning.
It was so lovely and quiet with the sound of the peacocks singing a few hymns for us.
The wedding itself was absolutely beautiful. The venue and grounds provided the perfect setting, and everything was organised so well. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire celebration, helping to make the day feel extra special and stress-free.
The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, cleanliness, the food and service were excellent. It was the perfect place to celebrate such an important family occasion, creating memories we’ll cherish for years to come.
Thank you to everyone at Dunadry Hotel and Gardens for helping make my sister’s wedding such a memorable and magical experience. We would highly recommend the hotel for both special occasions and relaxing stays, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
Quiet and secluded location, historic building full of character. Decent and clean rooms, though some moths seen. Good quality in restaurant, especially lemon meringue pie! Staff could have been a bit more responsive at times.
Not disable friendly. Arrived for breakfast and made to feel like an inconvenience. An empty restaurant but placed at the furthest away from the buffet with disabled parents. Decided not to eat.
The Dunadry is a 'hidden gem' close to Belfast and very conveniently situated for touring the north of Ireland. Management and staff were very welcoming and professional, food was excellent and rooms extremely comfortable. I look forward to returning in the not too distant future.
I stayed at the hotel for a wedding and couldn’t fault any aspect of the venue and staff. Food was amazing, staff were attentive and happy to assist and the rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone who hasn’t.
