If you want to be on Whyte Ave it’s location is great.
Staff were great, easy to add extra nights to my stay.
Noisy hallways, thin walls, so you hear a lot of things you don’t want to.
Parking is sketchy for the price.
There was no hot water in the morning, and shower pressure is very low.
Location was fabulous. The lady with curly hair who worked the front desk was lovely and helpful. Room was clean, beds were comfortable.
Rooms were INCREDIBLY hot, which is a struggle for anyone menopausal. They ran out of cutlery so I couldn’t warm up or eat leftovers from a local restaurant.
The location is great! Walking distance to the Old Strathcona Market, the Paris Baguette across the street, DaDeOs restaurant (our favourite) just around the corner.
The street noise during this visit was insane! I had the worst sleep. Screaming, fighting, sirens all night. Bring your earplugs.
Location
Room was too hot. Lots of mechanical sounds and people partied and woke me up at 300 AM
I have stayed here many times for convenience but room 301 is loud and hot!
location, cleanliness
parking instructions a bit confusing
Too much noises . We were not able to sleep at night. Also the beds were very small
Clean
Best ever pasterie facing the hotel named Paris Baguette
Beds are not queen too small
Shower super bad
Noisy a lot lot lot by night from roads and surrounding pubs
Parking baf, smell awfull from the passage to hotel
Value for momey...definitely not
Good location and amenities, cleaning staff were very friendly and did a great job.
Front desk staff
The shops and the bars as well as restaurants
No hot water, the room was way to hot and never cooled down. The bed was hard and fell apart. Lady on 3rd floor yelling around about her room having bed bugs. Coffee maker leaked all over the counter.
Location location location, friendly staff.
Clean.
Oversize parking is a bit awkward..
The bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was disappointing considering we paid $14/person. It was basic. Just like you’d get at a roadside motel like super 8.
Parking also costs. $29 to park 1/2 a block away in a non-heated parkade.
The water for shower took a very long time to warm up enough to use it. And never really got hot.
It is close to everything we needed during this stay
