Perfect Stay with Stunning Sea View!
Pros:

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel has that beautiful classic Cycladic architecture we love, all whitewashed walls, natural tones, and a really calm, relaxing atmosphere. It feels both modern and elegant, with a fresh, stylish design that instantly puts you in vacation mode.

Our room was spacious, bright, and spotless, with a breathtaking sea view that we enjoyed every morning and evening. The attention to cleanliness and detail really stood out , everything felt new and perfectly maintained.

The food was fantastic. We had breakfast and dinner and everything was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. Breakfast had plenty of options and everything tasted homemade and authentic. We loved the chocolate cake at breakfast!

The staff were exceptional, always polite, smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and their warm hospitality made our stay even better.

The location is also ideal. Kalo Livadi Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, is just a short walk away. It’s the perfect spot for swimming and relaxing.

Everything was perfect, we will definitely come back!

September Mykonos Island Get Away with a friend
Pros:

The hotel is lovely, comfortable and in a fantastic setting. The staff work hard to make you comfortable and have a good experience. The beaches nearby are lovely and the water was the perfect temperature. The water is so clear that you can see through to the bottom with ease. The main detractor for the stay is the hotel transfer rates are prohibitive to going into and out of Mykonos Town very often. The island bus is great resource, but information was not readily available about the routes. It would be nice to be provided the bus routes and stops as well as the schedule. Overall, I recommend the hotel highly.

This is not a 5-star-hotel!
Pros:

We booked a „premium double room with sea view“ for 8 days and received a small and relatively dark room close to the main building. The noise of the air conditioning on top of the main building – running day and night - was disturbing. Cleanliness of the room was not very good and the beds were bad. Fortunately we could change the room on the next day to a better room further away from the main building (no free upgrade to the next room type upon availability). The noise was a little bit reduced, but the constuctions in the neighbourhood were loud, and even ongoing on Saturday and Sunday (not the responsibility of the hotel).

The „Fine Dining“ option was meanwhile cancelled and the „A La Carte Restaurant“ did not fulfil good standards. Only the breakfast was very good. For example we had a burger for 29€ consisting of a standard bun, a standard patty, a slice of cheese and some mayonaise, and we ordered a ham and chese sandwich for 9€ consisting oft wo slices of toast, one slice of ham and cheese slices each. Both dishes were not tasty. On Saturday there was only margarine, but no butter available for breakfast, but on Sunday they decided to buy normal butter and cut it into pieces. The complete restaurant is open and when it is cold and windy, there is no alternative option to sit. Coffee was always nearly cold as it had to be brought from the pool bar. And some of the service personnel did also not meet expactations. During dinner time one waiter was standing with his mobile phone, viewing soccer games and not helping his colleague. Also frequent touching the shoulder of a guest (like a friend) and complaining about working conditions are not appropriate. The bar was rarely visited. A common cocktail (e.g. Pinacolada) of medium quality costs 18€.

Room cleaning had significant deficiencies. As we do not require room cleaning every day, but only every second day, we activated the red blinking „Do Not Disturb“ light on our second day. When we came back from our tour, our door was open and cleaning was ongoing. So wem ade a complaint at reception. The next day we asked for room cleaning, but nothing happened. All following days our room was not cleaned. Therefore we had to order clean towels, soap and toilet paper at he reception. When the new towels were provided, the dirty towels were not removed. On the second day the bushes in front of the terrace were cut, but the leaves remained on the terrace until we left.

The complimentary shuttle service to Mykonos Town (which was mentioned in a May 2024 review) is nor any more available. A one way tour costs now 42€.

We do not recommend this hotel and rate it as 3 or maximum 4!

Beautiful quiet hotel
Pros:

Beautiful hotel set in a very quiet location staff attentive especially Andreas & Christina. Not suitable for people with mobility problems as lots of steps and steep inclines. Lovely beach nearby but sun bed hire very expensive.

Wonderful hotel at Kalo Livadi, with stunning sea views and excellent, professional staff
Pros:

Overall we had an excellent experience at Archipelagos! We were a large group celebrating a special occasion and the hotel Management and staff were superb, they were very organized and accommodated all our (complicated) requests and made our stay even more special.

The hotel itself is also wonderful, with all the rooms being spacious with stunning sea views, a great outdoor pool & bar area, a restaurant with very nice cuisine, and all of this within walking distance from Kalo Livadi beach which is our favourite Mykonos beach.

Highly recommended, and would gladly go again! Thank you to Jordan & the whole Archipelagos team!

A little slice of heaven
Pros:

We stayed at the Hotel Archipelagos for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The views are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, each with a lovely outside balcony, and the staff are wonderful. We spent most of our time lounging around the pool. There are always enough loungers. It's so calm and peaceful.

We ate in the restaurant one night - delicious! Beautifully cooked meals with local ingredients. Not cheap, but it's Mykonos. Breakfasts were delightful, with incredible local honey and yoghurt, eggs, fruits, bacon, fluffy pancakes, freshly squeezed orange juice. Andreas remembered my coffee order from day one.

If you want to explore, you would need a car. We got the bus to Mykonos Town one evening - which was brilliant. The bus stop is a five-minute walk away up a hill. We returned in a taxi. There are a couple of beaches walking distance away, including Kalo Livadi.

I was with my husband and two sons, aged 18 and 21, and we all loved staying here. It was a real treat.

Terrible.
Pros:

Probably the worst hotel I have stayed in.
I will only give you facts. Not fiction. Thankfully I was only there for 3 nights. I could not have stayed another. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the cleaner who was so lovely.

It is old, dilapidated, and in need of a refurbishment.

The website states that there is a shuttle service into Mykonos town. This is lies. No such service exists. There is a bus time table that ends at around 6pm that you have to walk up a very very steep hill for at least 100m. To get to Mykonos town it is €50 min in a taxi and then you have to get a taxi out which I was told is more expensive. We did not even go in.

The hotel food prices are extortionate. 2 very mediocre burgers were €60. We had 2 glasses of wine some bread and taramasalata. When I asked for the bill I was told I didn’t need one by a very rude member of staff. I asked for the check again and was advised that it was €97 and that I didn’t need a bill. I stupidly paid up as I didn’t want to upset my daughter.

The nearest “supermarket” is a 20min walk away. Again all uphill. And using the word supermarket is an over exaggeration. It is tiny and again the staff were so rude. Prices ridiculous. Cheapest bottle of wine was €30. Ice cream was €5.50. Water was the only thing we went for as it is €4.50 for a bottle at the hotel. Again a basic need to be overpriced.

If you want a bar job apply to this hotel as it’s the quietest bar I’ve ever been to. There is never anyone there. It’s ridiculous. There is zero atmosphere. Zero interaction. Staff are miserable. They don’t smile or are welcoming. They look like they hate their job. There was 1 girl at breakfast that seemed friendly at times but I think she hated her job. I actually felt sorry for her. A group of boys ended up arguing with the bar man every time it came to paying for food as I don’t think they could get over the cost of everything.

I’m not even sure if it’s the hotel or the governments fault as we attended the beach bar nearby. They tried charging €130 per sunbed. Why on earth would anyone pay these charges. We went to have a drink at this beach bar in the evening and was told abruptly my a man “sit at the bar” No welcome. No smiles. He continued to scroll on his phone.

There is a lovely little restaurant just around the corner from this hotel that is called something “salt” This is a lovely place. The staff are so welcoming and smiley. Ask you how you are. How your day was. Just really nice people. The food was also fabulous but again very expensive. Starter, main and a basic bottle of wine was €163 but I happily paid and tipped heavily due to making us feel welcomed. We ate here x 2 and not at the hotel due to my experience above. I will happily pay for lovely service.

So in summary. If you do not hire a car then do not go here. If you hire a car take out full insurance as the roads are mountains and the locals do not care that you are on the road. Our airport taxi driver was scrolling on tik tok the whole time he was driving. Roads are single track also. Be aware.

To the manager of this hotel. I think you made an appearance at breakfast one day. You never welcomed anyone. Your staff will follow your guide. They learn by their peers attitude and approach.

I never leave reviews but I paid a lot of money for this trip. If it was an item I had purchased I would be asking for a full refund. But sadly it is not.

Serenity in Mykonos
Pros:

This is a beautiful property in a serene locale. Two very different beaches are a stones throw.away, and another set of 2 beautiful but uniquely situated beaches are just a 15 minutes walk away. Our room was lovely and comfortable, and the pool was perfect - plenty of lounges and ample shade. Breakfast was lush, and by the 2nd morning, the employees knew our coffee orders. Some local cats regularly toured the grounds and made for cute entertainment throughout the day.
