Staff was great, location in the center of down town was perfect. Others have complained about noise but we found it quiet. Maybe the occasional ambulance but it is center city.
Unfortunately one elevator was being replaced so there were occasional waits for the lift but never excessive. The bar closes early for a down town hotel. 9 wek days and 10 weekends. Drinks were great though and the food was also very good. Staff to notch.
This is the 5th time we’ve stayed at the L7 and our experience has been almost universally positive. The location is fantastic, the service is very good, and the bellman, Antonio, is the very best we’ve ever met. We would come back to the L7 for the amenities and value, but the personal touch and dedication we get from Antonio is the biggest reason we look forward to our stays here. Thank you very much!
All was good - the location, the beds, the peacefulness, the YOGA MAT inside the room!
All good!
We loved the room size and layout. Plenty of storage and room to move around. There were ample outlets on the bedside tables and the bathroom as well.
The room's view wasn't easily accessed - you'd need to hop up on the provided cushion to really see out over the river in the room we stayed in.
We stayed there for 3 nights and the room was nice as well as the view. The hotel is located in the city centre. Only one lift worked which we were informed but was sometimes a bit annoying.
Among the most uncomfortable beddings I have experienced. Mattress was soft and sunk towards the middle. So bad I had to switch rooms two times. Hotel is in an old building that has been renovated. Only one of two slow and rattling elevators serving 14 floors was available during my stay— expect long wait times. The gym is distributed in two office rooms that have been reconditioned and therefore unsuitable for gym equipment — the pull up bar is so close to the ceiling it’s impossible to perform a proper pull-up (see pic). Bike straps are broken. Treadmill cupholders have no bottoms. Back to the room, i found dust everywhere as well as long strands hair in the bathroom (from previous guests). Only one single bright light in the bathroom. Only one attendant in the lobby most times putting guest service calls on endless holds
Big room, nice bed!
This is a great hotel with high ceilings, large rooms and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. I haven't had this good a sleep in ages. The sofa was comfortable and good for relaxing and I made use of the table and round chair to get some work done. I wish I had a few more days here in the heart of Chicago.
There's construction outside on weeknights from 1am or so, but that will hopefully end before long.
The room was spacious and the amenities were fabulous. The restaurant attached was phenomenal too.
nothing.
Highly recommended. Julius and the whole staff took great care of us.
The 1 bed suite is an absolutely stunning room. It is spacious and has two window seats. The hotel is recently renovated and the rooms have coffee. Megan, who works at the front desk, is an absolute delight. She truly cares about guests experience and goes out of her way to make sure it's a good one.
