The restaurant has a good enough variety to choose from for breakfast, and the proximity to the University of Manitoba makes it an ideal place to stay for people visiting the University
Dinner at the restaurant closes at 20:00. The lunch/dinner buffet could be improved with more vegetarian food dishes. Housekeeping could be arranged earlier in the day.
The many key required areas, feels secured.
The many bins where they keep the linens are an eye sore, I’d rather not mention what I seen in one of those bins but I will not be staying here again.
Great room
Lots of room
The bed was comfortable and room was clean. Pool was nice
The front desk staff were very nice and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and the restaurant had very good food and in expensive.
We enjoyed the dinner in the Tavern restaurant. The room itself was very large and the bed was excellent.
Our original room issued had the smell of dead rodents the second we unlocked the door. We went straight back to the desk and were moved to another room.
Several times during our stay, it sounded like a track meet was taking place. We called the front desk, but it just wouldn't stop. The constant slamming doors were annoying as well.
The shower faucet was extremely difficult to turn on and off. The front desk was also advised, but ...
I liked the location it was close to where I needed to be.
I had asked for a cot for me or my baby and was refused by the lady at the front desk. She told me and I quote "we don't do that. The room is too small it won't fit a cot. I was surprised as this was the first time I ever slept at a hotel and was flat out refused and when I checked into the room there was more than enough room to fit a cot.
It was clean, the room was spacious
It was very loud in the hallway outside our room with people running back and forth and yelling. There was lots of loud talking that sounded like they were in our room. And this was after quiet time.
Also the large amount of laundry bins in the hallway and by the pool area was not visually attractive.
