This hotel has become old, tired & desperately in need of a complete makeover. I have been staying there for some years to attend the Canton Fair & was shocked by how much it has deteriorated.

it is OK fro a short stay in a local area, 20 m away from the metro,Line 2 and 8

Despite requested for NON-SMOKING room, we were assigned to a SMOKING ROOM on a SMOKE FLOOR. We practically inhaling 2nd hand smoke during our stay. The room is spacious with 2 full bathrooms. Carpet of this hotel, including our room, has a grey-dark coating throughout. It is aged to call for replacement. The carpet in our room are torn. This hotel does not deserve for 3* but NO-STAR.

Room Very dirty, have terrible smell,, service very bad.

The furniture is too ugly, ven the towels have bad smell.

Hotel is pretty beat up but the staffs were nice

Good location, just above train station. Many food options nearby. However service levels is sub par, for example had to ownself carry some bulky goods myself despite asking for porter service. Lack of sugar in the room. No more gym. Silver lining is that the Bed is comfortable.

No bar area

Great location with immediate access to buses, subway, diversified restaurants, supermarket, phamacies, you name it The king size bedroom is decent, has a good setting, bathroom looks renovated but the bathtub sealer around the edges came off. The cleaning ladies were very courteous, helpful, and get the job done. The only annoying thing is that there are no door slam preventers. I heard the doors were slammed constantly by the neighbors early morning or late at night.

There is a bit of a scam--during check-in, they tell to that in order to have a room that is reasonably new and has everything in working condition, you need to pay extra 100 RMB. After agreeing to pay the extra 100 RMB, you receive a room that, although the bathroom appears to have been refurbished, has a, musky odor, perhaps attributable to the old carpeting which clearly has many stains and needs to be replaced.

very convenience to shop and subway, many restaurants around , good stuff and clean. price are reasonable.

The biggest concern for me was the cigarette smell in the room, the linen etc. The rest was ok. The female staff in the lobby responsible for bus ticket booking to Hong Kong was very unpleasant and rude.

This is great value -- the location is super, and the hotel is well managed and clean, but very dated (old). Nonetheless, the price is also great. So overall, very solid value, and I would use again.
