Pros:

Walking distance to downtown and riverwalk. Very friendly staff. Very clean and efficient room. Great breakfast. Great view of Cape Fear river.

breakfast was great. Location was great.

Cons:

there’s no overhead light in our room and there’s no plug anywhere near the mirror so that two people could get ready at the same time and the water pressure at our sink was nonexistent. However, the shower pressure was great. The room felt a little damp unless we kept the temperature super low.

Pleasant hotel - spoiled by the ridiculously small breakfast area
Pros:

My room was on the 4th floor with outside open railings to get to the door. I'm not good with heights (yes, I know the 4th floor isn't high, but it's high for me when I'm looking directly down over railings lol) - they happily changed it to ground floor. Room was large and clean. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast room was way too small for the number of guests and breakfast itself was poor, as with most hotels at this price level.
