Too many weddings + loud construction for the weddings.

However, unfortunately, due to preparations for a large wedding, construction work was taking place during our stay. This meant the main garden area and the dining spaces with the iconic pyramid views were blocked, which was disappointing as this was a key reason for choosing the hotel. There were also frequent banging noises from the construction, which disrupted the otherwise relaxing atmosphere. In addition, there was timber and metal left around near the pick-up area, which made parts of the hotel feel untidy.

That said, the staff were very supportive and clearly understood our frustration. As we had specifically booked for the views, they made a real effort to make things right. They provided a complimentary evening meal with drinks, arranged a buggy to take us to the golf course (which was closed to the public) so we could still take photos with the pyramids, and refunded 20% of the cost of our room. They were very apologetic throughout.

Overall, while the disruption did impact the experience, the way the staff handled the situation and their level of care and service was genuinely appreciated.

Il y avait des préparatifs pour un grand événement, nous étions prévenus, mais malgré tout le bruit des travaux qui avaient lieu dans le jardin oú donnait notre balcon était insupportable, et cela jusque très tard dans la nuit. Nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à dormir.
Nous pensions naïvement que les ouvriers arrêtaient à 18h mais non… visiblement le travail de nuit est autorisé en Égypte.
Le management nous a proposé aimablement de changer de chambre, mais nous n’avons pas eu le courage de tout déménager.

Le bruit de la route et du démontage des planches du mariage qui avait eu quelques jours auparavant. Mais nous avons été upgrades sans le réclamer pour cela.

Temporäres Problem durch den Abbaulärm zweimal die ganze Nacht über, nach einer aufwändigen Hochzeits-Party.

Par contre , installations vétustes, service moyen au restaurant Alfredo même si les plats sont très bons.
Et surtout nous sommes venus en particulier pour le petit-déjeuner vue pyramides dont on a été privés cause mariages ! Aucun accès à cette partie de l'hôtel avec les jardins ....
Nous n'avons été prévenus qu'une fois la réservation bloquée, à un prix démentiel et totalement disproportionné !
Grosse déception !

Lors de notre séjour, un seul restaurant ouvert et pas d’accès au jardin qui donne sur les pyramides car l’hôtel était privatisé. Quel dommage et hormis de nous avoir informé, aucune attention particulière en signe de reconnaissance

Over priced, mediocre food

Nothing really not to like. If you want to visit the pyramids and museum this is by far the best place to stay.

The hotel has no interest whatsoever in the experience of the its guests prioritising huge functions above its guests experience.

We were due to stay for 3 nights but checked out after the first night. Our room was nearly $1,000 per night and the experience was truly horrendous due to a wedding in the grounds of the hotel having music so loud you couldn’t think straight. Thus continued until 11pm so no chance of any sleep before then. The following day the hotel turned the grounds into a construction site with contractors shouting and construction work starting very early in the morning and continuing for days apparently in preparation for another huge wedding.

So again intolerable noise and building site views with all materials being delivered to the grounds. Impossible to use the balcony you pay for because of the hammering and constant construction noise, accompanied by contractors shouting all day.

Complained first day and offered a free meal, not good enough by a long way when paying $1,000 for a room. After multiple complaints hotel finally agreed to let us check out without charging for the other nights. Offered a 25% discount which again is insulting for a completely ruined stay, should have refunded in full as it was a clear breach of contract as such a disturbance can not be reasonably expected.

Moved to the Four Seasons First Residence and would highly recommend this before staying at the Marriotts construction site.

When I spoke to the front desk in leaving they said they do so many large functions because it pays so well. No surprise there, but if you’re a normal guest then tough luck they couldn’t care less about you.
