The view was excelent😊 the breakfast was great.. everything frm check in to check out...
Just the wait time for elevator but staff had already warned us. Other than that everything was great
Lovely hotel, staff and amenities. Location is perfect for walking and enjoying the city!
This was our 3rd and last stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile. I came on a trip with my daughter since it was a great location & we had stayed there two times before & thought it would be very safe. WRONG! Our hallway reeked of pot the entire time, big loud groups all over the place, kids running around unsupervised. I used the fitness facilities & kids were running in & out jumping on equipment. Only one set of elevators was working at the time, so wait times were ridiculous. This was never once mentioned during check in. When we walked up to our hotel Saturday night there were at least 10 cop cars & an ambulance in front of the hotel. Unsettling to say the least. I understand you cannot control some circumstances, but this was completely ghetto and out of control. I waited over 40 minutes to have our bags stored and that was only after I went back up to the front desk & they flagged someone down who just happened to be passing by. Completely unorganized this time. It was never that way the past two times we had stayed. I will never stay at this location again & advise anyone thinking of it to do the same. Hotels cost way too much money in the city to have an experience like this. Do better.
The location was walking distance from everything
No complimentary water in room
This Suite is highly recommended. The staff stays connected whenever needed. This building is great for family trip.
Everything was nice, great view and nice staff
The hotel and the room itself was perfect enough for us. We only had 2 nights stay. Breakfast was good with omelette station. Staffs were friendly and accommodating. Underground pay parking is within the building. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel on our check out date. They do daily cleaning which is helpful for families like us who have kids. On some review they said the elevator was a problem so I’m a bit hesitant to book at first, but i did not experience any problems with the elevator. In fact it was fast.
The requested crib was not available on the first night so it gave us a little bit of trouble with our 1 yr old. But when they asked me on how is our stay for the night I was able to remind them about the crib and once we came back that night it is already in our room.
The parking is horrible and way too expensive. I dont like how they tell you if you use the $25 credit that you must charge your purchase to your room. I dont like that they tried to make an additional authorization to my card without calling me first. I dont like being woke up out of my sleep by the front desk phone. I dont like how small the pool is in comparison to the hotel. I dont like having one elevator in use for such a large hotel. I will not stay again.
This is a loud, rundown hotel with great location in Chicago. You need to take three different elevators to get to your room. It could take 30 minutes at peak times to get to your room. Once you get to checkin you get another line and --wait for it -- a pitch for Hilton Vacation timeshares.
Then you pay a $50 resort fee per night for Internet and laundry. Breakfast, part of the resort fee, was good but when there is no buffet expect to wait 30 minutes or more for the "made to order" area.
The middle courtyard area of the hotel is LOUD at all hours. Kids running around. Not enough antibiotics in the world to use the pool which is indoors. Loud party was broken up by the cops the night we were there. Pillows were well-used. Bedding was tired. Parking is self parking.
Staying here for 10days. Awesome experience especially during breakfast. From afar, I could hear May May greetings and laughters greeting customers full with passion 😊
Really grateful to be able to meet a chinese speaking person during this 10 days stay. It felt so warm 🙏🥰
I had an extremely unsettling and disappointing stay at this Embassy Suites. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt unsafe and completely out of control.
There was unrestricted access to the elevators and guest room floors, with no keycard enforcement at all. As a result, several groups booked rooms and then hosted large parties for people who were not hotel guests. Many of these attendees were clearly underage and were openly drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana, and blasting loud music late into the night. Hallways were chaotic and intimidating. It reached the point where the police had to be called, and multiple people were arrested. That alone should tell you how badly this property is being managed.
The overall atmosphere felt more like a ghetto than a hotel that is supposed to represent the Embassy Suites brand. We never felt comfortable or secure during our stay.
To make matters worse, one entire bank of elevators was out of service. This caused extremely long waits just to get to our room, adding even more frustration to an already miserable experience.
And despite all of this, the hotel had the audacity to charge a $25 per day “destination fee.” For what exactly? Broken elevators, unsafe conditions, and police activity in the hallways?
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Poor security, poor management, and zero accountability. I would strongly advise anyone to stay elsewhere unless you enjoy chaos, noise, and feeling unsafe during your trip.
I had a issue with my room and Javin went above and beyond making sure I had a great experience. Javin refreshed my room, left a personal snack tray and stopped by to make sure everything was fine. She definitely turned my frown into a smile.
It was a great way to start my morning on this trip. I’ve stayed at over 50 Embassy suites and Sergio brought the best energy and most positive atmosphere I’ve ever had at any Embassy suites. I want to give him a shout out because he truly was making everybody smile that came through that line for breakfast this morning.
