Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.

The room was very dirty and poorly maintained. There was visible dust on the curtains, and there was mold on the bathroom shower curtain. The bathroom was also missing basic toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel. Considering how expensive the stay was, the level of cleanliness and basic service was completely unacceptable.

But the worst part of our stay was that a mouse was running around inside our room. This was extremely disturbing and completely unacceptable for a hotel.

When we reported the mouse to reception, instead of properly resolving the situation, we were initially told that they could only refund us for the last two nights and check us out. In other words, we would have been left to find somewhere else to stay at very short notice, despite having already paid for our accommodation.

After a lot of pleading and insisting, they finally agreed to move us to another room. The second room was slightly cleaner, but the overall experience was already ruined.

I understand that problems can sometimes happen in hotels, but dirt, mold, missing basic toiletries and, above all, a mouse inside the room are completely unacceptable, especially at the price we paid.

I would definitely not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

Bagno veramente troppo piccolo, doccia senza piatto sottostante e con solo una tendina a coprire che poco fa. Non ci sono porta shampoo, carta igienica già iniziata e non vi è nessun cambio durante la permanenza ( noi abbiamo fatto 4 notti).
Le prese son dalla parte opposta del letto, le tende erano sporche e rotte.

Don’t read too much into the bad reviews. It’s a budget hotel, which still holds its original decor from back in the 14th century, but this is what makes it unique from anywhere else you’ll stay in Amsterdam for this price. There’s nothing negative to mention aside from the room could have done with a touch up of paint.

Room 21 is one of two rooms (19 is the other) on the 5th floor (the top floor). It had no fan (apparently on order) and it was beyond uncomfortable with the heat wave. Additionally, the room has a door (the only opening - no windows open) to a small terrace which you cannot access as the neighbours don’t want guests out there. There was a small chain that allowed the door to be open about 4cm but it was not enough with the heat.

Ville være hyggeligt hvis der var et par bænke ved kanalen.
Læste anmeldelserne om hotellet og frygtede lidt det værste, men når man læser lidt om hvordan Amsterdam er bygget på giver det super god mening at trapperne er små og lidt stejle.
Værelserne kunne selvfølgelig godt trænge til lidt maling men nu brugte vi kun værelset til at sove og tage bad på så det betød ikke noget.

Das war das schlechteste Hotel, welches wir jemals gebucht haben. Sofort nach Ankunft sind wir wieder abgereist. Das Zimmer befand sich im 5. Stock, ohne Aufzug, es war dreckig, Blutflecken auf Bettwäsche und Gardinen, die Dusche lief nicht ab, Balkon total verdreckt war nicht begehbar. überall schwarze Flecken und herabgeblätterte Farbe, Hotel lehnt Stornierung ab und wir sitzen auf Kosten von 1300 EURO für 3 Nächte . mussten uns ein neues Hotel buchen - eine absolute Vollkatastrophe, unvermietbar dieses Hotel - größte Vorsicht beim Buchen bitte
