Chios Chandris Hotel

There are many positive things to say about the hotel. Overall, we genuinely liked the hotel and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered many choices and was always fresh. However, we had some security concerns, specifically with respect to keys being able to access other rooms. When I had an incident of accidentally walking into another room (same location, different floor) the desk responded immediately by changing my access cards so they would be unique. Hotel management, however, blamed me for not being observant and would admit no fault nor say that they would look into the issue. That is not acceptable.

Hotel stay was excellent. We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast daily. Food was always fresh and delicious. Service in reataurant was spot on each time.
Many employees were excellent but Ioanna at the front desk was kind and patient with us. She truly went beyond to make our stay memorable always greeting us and guests with a smile. Pantelis the reservation manager, helped to make our stay comfortable.

The location of the hotel was perfect, you can walk everywhere in the city center. The location of the room we stayed in was great, when we woke up in the morning, the sea view welcomed us. The room cleaning was excellent, especially the staff who cleaned the room was very attentive and competent. Breakfast products were fresh and very good in terms of variety.

Bathroom clean & modern but far too small. It was an effort to go in & close the door behind you. Room & staff were fabulous.

Hotel room was spacious and clean. Couldn’t figure out the AC so we slept with balcony door open and we were comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and had several choices.

Excellent stay my 3 stay over the years and the service still up to scratch.Extremely polite and helpful staff .Loved the pool and the location which keep things quirt

We had the opportunity to bid for an upgrade and our bid was accepted! We ended up staying in the executive suite. Our balcony had a view of the Aegean and of the harbor. There were two bathrooms so we had his and hers. I took hot soaking baths each night. There was lots of room in the suite. I would highly recommend it. Breakfast had a large variety of options. Parking was just next to the hotel with a key code to raise the gate. We paid extra for late check out but that did not translate to parking. We could not get back in the lot after 11am.

We had arrived in Chios for the first time to Visit Agia Markella. We fell in love with the city of Chios. This all started with our warm welcome at the hotel. Our room was an ocean view and we had an amazing view of the light of Turkey. The staff at reception were helpful and knowledgeable, they assisted us when our tour to Agia Markella was cancelled at the last minute.
Breakfast was a large variety of choirs, fresh and delicious.
Room was clean and bed was the best we have slept in during our holiday in Greece.
Hotel is walking distance alone the port to restaurants, shops and cafes.

Maybe a tad pricey compared to other hotel properties on Chios, but it is in the main town.

(Restricted to 4 in a room so families of 5 or 6 will need to reserve two rooms)

We stayed in a family suite at Chios Chandris Hotel for two nights in July and had a very pleasant experience. The suite was spacious and perfect for a family of four, with two modern bathrooms that made our stay especially comfortable.

While a few parts of the hotel could use a refresh, everything was clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast each morning was excellent.

What really stood out was the outstanding service. After leaving the island, I realised I had forgotten a necklace in the room. I contacted the hotel, and they went above and beyond to find it and kindly posted it all the way back to me in Australia. I was so grateful for their honesty and care.

Highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, great location, and exceptional staff.

The initial room we were out it left a bad experience and impression of the hotel. The room had an updated bathroom which was nice, however the rest of the room was horrible. Old worn out carpet, old dirty curtains which didn’t match the carpet, dirty & stained lamp shades, dirty and stained upholstered chairs, a minibar fridge which didn’t work, the decorative bed cover had stains on it and the cabinet the fridge was in was chipped and my daughter hurt herself on it.
We stayed in the room that night then I mentioned it to the reception the next morning. That afternoon I again went to reception to see if we could get a different room. The manager was extremely nice and moved us to a much better room with wooden floors and a separate bedroom. This was a MUCH MUCH nicer room and helped us have a much more pleasant stay. Although, when I converted the sofa bed back to a normal sofa, it was clear that no one had cleaned under the sofa because there was a TONE of dirt and food crumbs underneath it.
The pool area is lovely though with 2 change rooms and 2 showers. Buffet breakfast was very nice with a good range and very helpful and attentive staff.
Good location and good views from the hotel. Within 5 min walking distance to the main shopping district. I would avoid the restaurants along the harbour though as the food has been bastardised for tourists and mostly not authentic.

Needs a lot of updating.
