Ascot Suites

We stayed 4 days and 3 nights for our 25th Anniversary🤗 Great stay! Upon arrival they gave us an upgrade to a suite. So kind. The views from the room was wonderful! Nice breakfast. I met some fascinating people over breakfast and my wife and I had 2 wonderful breakfast in bed. THE best value all around ✌

Great go an overnight stay en route from SF to LA. Super comfy bed, very friendly ladies at the reception - overall great value hotel!

The rooms were clean. The noise was an issue for us. Both rooms next to us had music and television turned really loud until around midnight. We called the after hours number twice and no one answered. Guest above us woke yp @5am with heavy footsteps. So we slept maybe 4 hours and not consistent. Walls are paper thin!! If tou stay her request a top floor room and on the end..

It was very nice they provide between 4 thru 5 wine in the lobby and the receptionist Marisol wS very nice

Hotel was ok overall. Breakfast was a typical average for what you can expect. The gym was very poor. The overall condition of the room not as good as I expected for the price. Didn't have a desk or table where I could work on my laptop. Staff was great.

Close to the restaurants and harbor

Not bad views of Morro Rock. The rooftop deck is a nice touch. Breakfast in the morning is a good perk

As someone that travels for a living, this was one of the worst experiences of my life. Room had a broken A/C and broken bathroom door.
When I spoke to the woman in the front desk she said “oh yea we wouldn’t get that fixed.” Referring to the door. Than said “try opening the balcony door for air” when I told her the AC was broken. As she says that, there is no spring door so she expected me to sleep with an open door with my 4month year old with seagulls all over the building.

When I tried to ask for another room or compensation she said I had take it up to the property and expedia in hopes they can agree on a refund. Which they offered a $50 credit for my $300 booking…

Just a pathetic hotel and overall service.
DO NOT BOOK or spend your money here.

Beautiful cute hotel, location is perfect! The view is amazing. They had breakfast and the rooms were clean!

Location is handy. Staff are friendly and attentive. Room was clean. But building showing its age. The elevator was out. Luckily the staff found us a room on 2nd floor, but that meant I gave up my better view and the Jacuzzi tub. But with a bad knee reducing the number of flight of stairs to climb was more important. The stairwell was stained dirty and smelled. The bedside lamps flickered. As fluorescents it got better after they were on for awhile but didn’t stop, making them useless. The bed hard, thin “mattress” on a platform. The breakfast basically what you pay for (free with room) - microwaved pretend egg omelette, waffle machine broken timer that burns waffles, bagels and packed muffins. Refrigerator was super loud. Thank goodness the AC worked well, but clicked and groaned for hours after turning it off at night. Wasn’t the worst place I’ve seen but definitely not the greatest that some reviews had said.

All very good except: gym open 24 hours- the gym is not really a gym and has 2 machines where u can only walk - no other equipment . The breakfast is extremely non existent. You can get coffee and a waffle but that is basically it.

The location is excellent - you can walk to literally everything in MB. The beds are a little form … the bathtub is dangerous!!! Very slippery, no bars, nothing to grab!! I didn’t think there was a rubber mat but they out it behind the toilet! So dumb! They should put it over the side of the bath tub where you can see it and btw the side of the tub which has a high side to step over is not great, and nothing to hold onto so be warned!!! The wine hour is good - free wine!
