Er werd 's ochtends aangeklopt vóór de uitchecktijd
El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente para ir al Ziggo Dome, pero el servicio en recepción fue mejorable. Llegamos a las 11:00 muy cansadas y la primera recepcionista mostró poca empatía; nos dejó esperando sin darnos ninguna alternativa a pesar de explicarle la situación.
Por suerte, a las 13:00 nos atendió Ulysses, quien fue muy amable y eficiente. Nos solucionó el problema al momento ofreciéndonos una habitación superior por un suplemento de 26€. Le agradecemos enormemente su gestión, pero queda el mal sabor de boca de que la primera persona no nos diera esa opción desde el principio para ahorrarnos dos horas de espera.

The size of the rooms
My stay at Mercure Amsterdam City Hotel was overall a good one. The hotel itself was comfortable, the service was good, and it offered a pleasant stay in Amsterdam.
One thing to keep in mind, however, is the location. While the hotel is convenient in its own way, it’s not particularly close to restaurants or supermarkets, so it may not be the best choice if you prefer having plenty of dining options or convenience stores just a short walk away.
That said, if you’re looking for a comfortable hotel stay in Amsterdam and don’t mind being a little farther from the busier dining and shopping areas, it’s still a solid option.

- Zeer ondermaats ontbijt, veel lege plateau's, wachttijden voor broodjes, warme gerechten, maar ook borden, glazen,...
- Broodjes worden per 10 stuks aangevuld terwijl er 100 personen aan het ontbijt zitten (dit moet blijkbaar zo van de manager)
- Haar in ons eten!

- Afvoer douche verstopt
Room was normal but cooling wasn’t working properly. Besides that location is really really very far from center. Nearest Metro is in 12 minutes walking distance and basically you can’t reach center without that.

Sommig personeel is niet vooruit te branden, niet verstaanbaar, alles duurd heel lang, bestelling opnemen, drinke brengen 6x wat in engels navragen, zeer vermoeiend
We stayed here while attending an event in Johan Cryuff arena, perfect location for this as only a couple of mins from metro and then 2/3 stops. There is a lovely outdoor area of hotel to have food/drinks. Staff were really lovely. There is a 24 hour, self serve shop which we found very handy. Room was super clean and bright. There is a corporate vibe to the hotel but we expected that so was absolutely fine. Would definitely stay again if going to event in same venue.
It’s not a negative because they don’t claim to be, but just to be aware hotel is not in central Amsterdam. Uber etc will get you there quickly and metro is very close.
