Stayed a month and as a woman on my own felt comfortable and secure,
Pros:

Wonderful location
Large comfortable suites with kitchen facilities
Warm pool and great hot tub in garden like setting
Walked to beach and town easily

Cons:

Breakfast was inconsistent in some offerings and could have offered more healthy choices

Location and staff were good

Cons:

Hotel is in need of an update and is run down. There was a clanking noise of pipes all night. Could have been cleaner.

Wonderful weekend stay, close to the beach.
Pros:

The kitchenette served us well. Nice size refrigerator for our food and beverages.

Cons:

A little better stocked kitchen with utensils and dishes would be helpful.
Sliding door kept sticking.

Don’t do it!
Pros:

The room was spacious.

Cons:

It was dirty, the phone in the room didn’t work, I had to call the front desk office twice and waited for a new remote control to the tv for an hour (both controls were sticky and broken and when we first arrived the floor where our room was at, the whole place smelled like weed. I had two small children with me and they noticed the smell too.

Room with a view
Pros:

Nice view of the beach in the distance. The room was very large and had a nice bathroom, kitchenette, and balcony.

Cons:

The pool looked uncared for, and it did not appear that there was daily attention to the outdoor halls.
Our room had clear signs of previous water damage to the ceiling. The queen sized beds felt more like doubles and were not comfortable.

The Customer Service is Trash
Pros:

We arrived at the hotel and immediately were met with very weird energy. The person acted as if we were coming to ruin their day. Upon asking for my name for the reservation he mentioned we got a queen room. I said no we did not. He then said, I can assure you you did. We would not randomly change the room from a king to a queen. At the point of him acting as crazy as he was, I said just keep the room as is.

I later confirmed on my booking that the room was supposed to be a king. This is not a hotels.com issue but a hotel staff issue. Also, he gave us the keys to the room and did not even bother to activate the keys.

Again, had he been focused on customer service and not trying to prove an incorrect point, we would have had not only the correct room type but a working key. And there was constant noise from trains all throughout the evening.

There is another review on here where the person we are referring to is seen bullying guests. We won't be returning. If the hotel does not care about the psychological safety of their guests, why bother?
