Beautiful property. Not so large though. Friendly staff. Excellent housekeeping staff. They stopped by throughout our stay and asked if we needed anything. The bar area was lively with great service and drinks.
The restaurant staff and food. Both were terrible. The staff acted very indifferent with low energy. They didn’t want to be there. The taste of the food wasn’t good.
A short two-night stay. The busy lobby and greeting were a bit impersonal - for a Ritz-Carlton, I felt that a more personal, warm touch could be provided. The room was large, clean, but again I found it quite sterile in design. The hotel is not by any means bad, and the location is excellent, but it seems very corporate in nature and lacks the true luxury touches that would really make a stay stand out. Stay here, and you will get a consistent quality, but nothing that is really special compared to other luxury hotels, and Ritz-Carlton’s that I have stayed in.
The room service is excellent
Nothing
My three night midweek stay at the Ritz-Carlton Boston had a rough air con start — that quickly was remedied. And then it was pretty flawless.

My NUAs were declined, but I wasn’t surprised since it seemed almost sold out.
The hotel did bungle the original room air con, but they recovered with a new upgraded view room (even while almost sold out) with vastly better air con while I was away at dinner. They also offered a $100 F&B credit for the inconvenience, which I thought was more than fair.
After coming back from dinner that first night, it was a pretty flawless stay. The air con remained around 64-66 F for the rest of my stay. The room is very comfortable, and they even brought 2 fans for me to be safe. They had a lovely chocolates amenity with extra bottles of water brought up from my original room as per my #prearrivalchecklist, as well.
Shower pressure was almost too strong! But I loved it. WiFi was a solid 40 Mbps, but then I do expect more from a luxury hotel.
In room dining breakfast and dinner both were great.
I had one lunch at the Artisan Bistro restaurant and they couldn’t have been kinder — even getting me an omelette despite it being past time for breakfast.
I enjoyed drinks one night at the beautiful lobby bar. Always a pleasure.
I spent more time away from the hotel than usual visiting my family in the area.
Another very pleasant stay at the Ritz-Carlton Boston. Considering the Four Seasons One Dalton is the only other luxury hotel in town that will guarantee my 65 F air con, I am very happy with the Ritz-Carlton. The FS is newer, but I vastly prefer the RC location (and Bonvoy credit).
Awesome! My favorite hotel in Boston. I prefer it to four seasons which is quite nice.
Great rooms. Spotlessly clean. Always great to grab a bite at the club
Trust me it’s the horrible hotel ever with unprofessional management and staff. We used to stay here in April with our little baby and they was so rude and unprofessional
Lovely property, not as “Ritzy” as other RC but decent, the staff is definitely top notch all around.
The hotel stole my wine bottle. Not only did they lie to me, they played stupid after.
I left the bottle in my room and at checkout asked someone to bring it down, then they confirmed locating the bottle in my refrigerator, when I called they said they could not deliver it to me. Then they sent a picture of another bottle and Lied to me. A complete waste of time and energy, I will never return to a ritz Carlton. And I have been to many... niseko... Aspen.. SOcal... you name it. I really dont care about the bottle, it's the dishonesty and lack of safety I cant stand.
Amazing stay! Service was outstanding!
No reason not to stay here location is convenient to the T, shopping and restaurants.
Exceptional staff, clean and well appointed room
An amazing centrally located property that has a great gym facility as well as good restaurants. If you want a great centrally located hotel in Boston look no further than the Ritz
Wijdan was very helpful and lovely ! She made sure I felt welcomed and well looked after
Both Adriatik and Ryan from the Concierge went above and beyond to make my stay so comfortable.
Despite the name and Marriott association , this is not a Ritz experience. Location is in Downtown, close to Washington. Rundown area in Boston. Better places to stay, Seaport or Back Bay. Hotel is fine, average at best. Expensive and there are better options for similar prices. Marriott status not recognised or acknowledged.
Felt like my friend and I were the main characters in a novel set in Boston. The staff at the Ritz are so excellent you feel like you are among friends. It feels like BOTH a luxurious treat and home. Amazing stay.
Excellent stay, service was top notch, loved it
As a Titanium member, I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. The staff was very kind and friendly- especially the bartender and front door staff. While the room was clean, the hotel is dated. This is by far not at the level of the Ritz brand or the price you pay to stay at a Ritz. The one thing that was a very big "will never stay here again" is the controlling of the room temperature. While there's a thermostat, you clearly have no control over it. No matter the temperature you set it at, the temperature in the room stayed at a toasty, stale, 72 degrees. No air movement. For the price I pay to stay at a Ritz, if I want to make the room arctic I should have that control. If you're looking for Ritz, JW or even Marriott quality- stay somewhere else.
This property is Ritz at its best. From the beautiful lobby and well-appointed room, to the impeccable service from staff at every level - all of whom appear to be empowered to make your stay a great one, Ritz Boston does it right.
The onsite restaurant was also top notch. As I looked over the menu, I felt a strong sense that if I went for the New England Clam Chowder, I would not be disappointed. THE best bowl of clam chowder I’ve had in my life!!
