Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim South

We got there at 10am (obviously too early for check-in) had them hold our bags while we hit the park. They told us to check-in around noon to see if our room was ready. We did so and it wasn't, not a problem. Told us to check back in a couple hours, called at 2 still not ready, all good. We get there at 3:55 after hitting the park for 5-6 hours in 100 degree heat and the room still isn't ready. They radio in and the response back is 45 minutes as in 40 minutes after standard check-in time. They asked if it needed to be a king room since we had a firework view and at that point I said I would settle for 2 queen room. We got downgraded to 2 full size beds facing the back empty lot. Would be annoying in any circumstance, extra annoying when I had given a 6 hour heads up that I was there. They collected my info every time I spoke to them and had ample opportunity to coordinate or at least insure my room was done on time.

My only complaints were the elevator situation, it took forever to head down to get breakfast (we were on the very top floor). Especially on a busy weekend. Expect elevator wait times to be at least 15 minutes. The parking was also a pain, it is $25 a night for a parking lot that is half full with construction, always full, no open spots, and it is shared with 2 other hotels and a restaurant. Parking should be free at this point.

The only mini issue would be that one elevator wasn't working so waiting would take a little long, other than that our family stay was great!

Elevator down, so long waits for one operational elevator, or stairs. The atrium closed after breakfast so nowhere to sit or lounge. No housekeeping service provided on our first day so after a long day at the theme parks, we returned to overflowing waste, baskets, dirty, and wet towels on the bathroom floor and breakfast dishes in our suite that had never been removed. The room view was of a gravel rooftop so we didn’t open our curtains, and when it poured down rain, there were no ponchos to purchase for use outdoors, or at the theme parks. We did not receive Hilton Honors points since the trip was booked through Booking.com, and it was impossible to park or get into the property because it’s located in and amongst five other hotels and is not on the street, so driving around in the dark, looking for it with a confused GPS was challenging.

The toilet in the room kept making weird noises all night, like something needed some valves fixed. The elevators were also very slow and only 1 was working.

It is extremely hard to get up or down when the elevators are busy. They have a warning sign that it is most busy from 7:30-10:30am. This is true. You will be waiting a while and living on hope that one will show with enough room.

The AC 🥴 Was not working! And it was SUPER HOT! I called front desk they send someone to fix it but still didn’t work. After an hour I called back and they said they were going to send some FANS 🙄 I said O, No! I need to move to another room I have a baby, so i spoke to a supervisor she was super Nice and didn’t even hesitate, she gave me another room. After all everything was Good!
