Absolutely amazing stay
Nothing comes to mind
Loved this last minute night away with the dog, it was such a lovely hotel. Great staff and delicious breakfast. Couldn’t ask for more. Great value for money. We ate dinner in the bar which was fabulous, we had a steak and salad and both were spot on. I would highly recommend this hotel, we felt very welcome and the service was excellent from when we stepped in the door to when we left. There was a wedding on and we weren’t disturbed at all, everyone was friendly and kind. It was everything we wanted from a quick night away. We drove to Whitby the next day and had a wander on the beach before heading home.
Nothing at all
Very friendly and helpful staff. Exceptional breakfasts. Wonderful building full of character and all in first class order
Wonderful fixtures and fittings in the room with quality products in the bathroom. Fantastic public rooms and grounds. The best breakfast ever.
Nothing
Everything - stayed before. Book it as a treat for myself when travelling . Perfect for business and pleasure.
Nothing - my stay was perfect !
Lovely location, excellent service, friendly staff.
Nothing
The hotel looks and feels like a stately home but with up to date facilities. The rooms are generous and the staff are very welcoming. The surrounding countryside is beautiful.
When we stayed it was excellent value for money.
We had dinner in the DeBrus restaurant which was very tasty and good value for money, however, after half an hour’s wait we had to remind the staff that we had ordered a bottle of wine. The meal was spoilt slightly.
Another stay in one of the gorgeous Shepherds Huts. These are so quiet and private but with all the facilities of the hotel on hand. The restaurant is excellent and the staff are so friendly and helpful. When I said that it was a belated birthday celebration as I had been unwell on the actual day the restaurant staff brought me a chocolate iced birthday plate and some sweet treats which was a lovely thoughtful touch.
We were there on the hottest night of the year and the Shepherds Hut was very hot overnight. Having some sort of portable air conditioner would have been great although I appreciate that there are probably only about 10 nights a year when one would be needed!
Wonderful hotel
Everything
Nothing
Beautiful setting, wonderful staff, the room was lovely, and breakfast had a wide range of choices available
It was difficult to find the room as its such a large hotel, this wouldn't have been a problem but one of the party was disabled so we had to make regular stops to gain their breath especially when we went down tje wrong corriders.
Breakfast was exact everything you could ask for
Room was ideal food good and ideal to walk the dog around grounds
