Augarten Art Hotel, a Member of Design Hotels

Everything was perfect, I have no complaints, very neat and clean - the rooms and all other areas, and I especially have to highlight the rich breakfast and the beautiful swimming pool and fitness center within the hotel.

Best hotel room we've stayed in for a long time.

I loved this hotel! It was one of the best I have stayed in for a long time. I visited in August for a conference being held at the University.

The staff were delightful - incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. The whole place had a very personal feel. My room was very comfortable and well designed, with a balcony protected by a grille which allowed one to sit outside and feel the sunshine but not get too hot (it was VERY hot!) or sunburned. It also made it possible to work outside on a laptop which is often difficult.

There is a small gym, pool and spa (sauna/steam room) downstairs, and it's also possible to book rooftop yoga classes. I tried this one evening and what a lovely experience is was: yoga with views over the city and a glass of wine to finish :)

It's an easy walk into town, just 10 mins. There is also a great restaurant just behind the hotel which is very convenient if you are working and don't have a lot of time to go out. And the breakfasts in the hotel are delicious, great quality and lots of choice.

The only thing I can think of as an improvement would be possibly to have foam pillows as well as feather (this is personal preference as I am not a fan of a feather pillow!) and all the dratted summer mosquitoes - which are annoying but not the hotel's fault.

All in all, a great place to stay!

The hotel is nothing as advertised. Bad pillows. The electric blinds did not work. No tea cups… very disappointing experience!

This hotel has i) the friendliest reception staff, ii) the smoothest check-in, iii) the by far nicest designed rooms (yes, form follows function here), iv) the best beds - I slept 13 hours like a baby, v) a superbly quiet location, vi) everything in pristine condition, vii) a perfectly relialbe WLAN and I could go on and on and on. Just top notch from every angle. Facilities are 24/7 - pool and bar - so you don't get squeezed into any schedule (needless to say that no one takes a swim at 3am but just knowing that you could is a luxury). The art all over the hotel and in the room is breathtaking. Just pure perfection. Besides the hardward, I also firmly believe that management is treating their staff with respect and gives them room to develop themselves. You feel that immediately. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Having your own peopl and treating them very well pays out, no doubt about that. Cannot wait to get back. Loved it.

Good location, allowing for an exploration if Graz’s Old Town. Nice breakfast. Nice staff. The amount of artwork in the hotel justifies the name Art Hotel, however, there is so much artwork, that at times, it is a bit overwhelming. Recommend choice when visiting Graz!

Superb hotel. Very friendly staff, spacious room with large desk and good lighting which is essential when trying to work. Interesting and engaging art throughout. Great gym and delicious breakfast. Quick walk into town centre. Large private car park. Recommended a super, traditional place to eat. Highly recommend the hotel and area.

Couldn't fault the room or staff and a nice quiet location

We just lucked out and were given a beautiful apartment, so I am obviously prejudiced! The facilities were immaculate as was the decor. Front end and wait staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. We whole-heartedly recommend the Augarten to enhance your Graz experience.

This was a modern hotel and very clean. They had a great pool / sauna area. Unfortunately, the beds were too firm for us and no air conditioning in the room. This was the only hotel during our 2 week stay that charged for parking and breakfast, which was disappointing. Luckily we were there on a weekend and there was free parking on the street in front of the hotel.

We had a great stay at the Augarten Hotel. At first we were nervous from seeing the outside of the building (looked a bit old) but once we checked into the room we were very happy. The room was a spacious apartment which was convenient since we were travelling with our baby. The door to your room is from the outside which we had no issues with as we had great weather the whole week. We had some rain but it did not cause any issues. The staff were super friendly and helpful always during our stay and when our room was cleaned they did a great job replenishing. I think they noticed we had our baby and left us a couple extra towels which was so appreciated! We had breakfast a few times at the hotel and it was great with many options, lots of cold cuts, pastries and fresh cooked eggs to your liking. We also appreciated the hotel bar/cafe that was open 24/7. We were about a 12-15 minute walk from the city center which was very convenient as well. It was nice to stay a bit outside of the busy touristy areas and walking back to our hotel we had no issues, it was safe.

Very nice stay in this hotel 5 minutes away from the center. The building is ugly but the infrastructure is nice with a pleasant pool and sauna. We were upgraded in an appartement which gave us a lot of space. Good bedding, good WiFi and good pricing. Very recommended.

I love this hotel. The hotel is in a quiet residential area and a converted apartment building. It was experiencing real life in Graz, in a fabulous modern apartment full of exciting artworks. The unit was immaculately kept, and all amenities were of luxury quality. The staff, both at night and in the morning, were friendly and helpful. Every corner of the hotel has witty, fantastic design elements that will delight you. We did not get to try them, but all the amenities, like the pool and conference rooms, look nice, clean, and well-equipped. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Graz, especially those who plan to stay for a while; 'Stay Artful'.

We had a super stay for three nights and used the 3 for 2 nights option. It included breakfast and parking. Pool area is very stylish and relaxing. Breakfast is just what you wish for, but you feel that they do not waste as much food as other hotels
Location is ok, walking distance to main sights. Staff is extraordinary, we had some requests and within minutes they were fulfilled. We will return for sure.

This is a wonderful hotel, very modern, clean with very friendly malt staff with a lovely pool m, sauna and relaxation area with water and fruit Great you can hire bikes quite cheaply from the hotel which is a great way to explore Graz which is a beautiful city.

Beware. Most of the rooms have outside entrance. Not so good when it’s cold and rainy. Breakfast is overpriced. Room is small. Otherwise neat and clean and friendly staff. Okay for a few nights but then wouldn’t stay again.
