Very well holiday spent at St Patrick’s Hotel in Xlendi Gozo
What I can say is that spending two nights in St Patrick Hotel was excellent.
•Good area no parking problem
•Clean room
•A good selection breakfast
•good dinner
•Staff very helpfull and well come you with a smile
• thanks to Mr Joseph Attard the Manager and all the staff
Recommeded 100%.
Great hotel, stunning location, fabulous staff, great value for money. Conveniently located to explore Gozo & Malta by public transport.
Having just returned from a one week stay at St Patricks ..
We had a Seaview Room and
Wow ! The view over the Bay is amazing and definitely recommended.
I had previously read that the hotel was dated . I'd say it's Traditional and inkeeping with the beauty of the area.
More importantly The Staff.
They were all so helpful and friendly. Very hard working and often multitasking.
They really are a credit to the smooth running of the hotel 👏
What can I say we had a fantastic 11 nights here the views were fab the room was clean and comfortable
There was a good amount of choice for breakfast and we had a couple of meals too which were very tasty the staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble we would like to thank Dishan, Zara ,Lino for looking after us so well and a special thanks to Dishan for helping my husband sort out flowers for my birthday whilst we were there. The staff really made our holiday special with the warm welcome we always received
I would certainly recommend st Patrick’s hotel as a place to stay in Gozo .
Its a lovely view of you get front line sea view but other wise , its a very tired hotel living off nostalgia. Dated and in need of some money spending on it .....
We had a fantastic stay at St. Patrick's hotel. The room was lovely and clean and the food at the restaurant never disappointed, the staff were very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable stay.
Really nice atmosphere at hotel all staff very helpful and friendly , we stayed 9 nights at the end of February, food was nice ,we did half board basis ,The hotel is not modern , and needs some tlc , but didn’t effect our stay , stunning views , and fantastic bus route , we met many nice guests staying at hotel , which was a bonus
Lovely hotel in an amazing location . Staff are all very friendly . Had breakfast included and in my couple of days managed a diner and a lunch . Food excellent and great value for money . Lovely views .
Just come back from Gozo where I spent 7 days at St Patrick’s Hotel .
I stayed half board , the evening meal was beautifully presented and tasted amazing and the choices were to my taste too , staff in the dining room so friendly and very professional with their service .
Breakfast was buffet type , lots of choice and again a good morning and smile greeted you .
Rooms were comfortable , every thing I needed .
I was at front the of the hotel , unfortunately the sea view rooms were all taken but I recommended paying for one because the view over the bay is breath taking .
The hotel is clean and room also , if you need anything the domestic staff are very helpful.
Reception staff where so welcoming and also very informative about places to visit ..travelling on the ferries as well has the bus services .
I traveled alone and I’m an active pensioner ,the bus service is very good in Malta and the stop is right outside the hotel .
I down loaded the Moovit app and it never let me down also it tells you how long it would take for a bolt taxi to arrive too , so no messing around trying to get taxi numbers if you need one .
The hop on hop off bus also can be caught out side the hotel too which I recommend using to give you an idea on which parts you would like to visit .
I have nothing but praise for all who work at St Patrick’s , they are a great team and guests are their main priority they make sure your visit goes well .
Small ,quiet ,peaceful Xlendi and the St Patrick’s Hotel I would recommend to all visiting Gozo .
Excellent food ! Best in Malta we tasted. Lino entertained us with all his blissful happiness. Chef did a great job and Lino helped us pick the dishes.
Lovely hotel, very festive when we stayed in December. Hotel and room spotlessly clean. Breakfast delicious with a good range of hot and cold options. We had a courtyard view room which was great. Pool was closed when we visited.
[I booked and reviewed this hotel on booking.com, but the owners’ appalling response to my review has inspired me to share it here as well.]
My 75-year-old mother and I showed up with our luggage and were struggling with it up the 6-8 steps into the lobby. Not a single person from the hotel attempted to help us with our luggage (this exact situation occurred when we were leaving — the employee who checked me out literally watched as my mother struggled down the steps with her suitcase to get to the front door). ** bizarrely, the hotel owner, who I know was not present because he is a man and only female employees were there at the time, wrote: “Reading your review makes me understand that you did not even bother helping your mum with her luggage either. Reception staff were welcoming other clients when you arrived.” Both of these statements are patently false. I was in fact helping my mom with her luggage as well as struggling with my own, and no other clients were even in the lobby let alone checking in with reception staff. But thank you, Mr. Attard, for your personal attack.**
We arrived about 1 PM, but were told that there would be no early check-in, even if the room became ready earlier than 3:00pm, without paying a fee of €40. Fair enough. Having just come over on the ferry in hot weather, I asked if there was any water to drink; one front desk employee handed me a water bottle, but immediately another employee who was sitting down behind her said I needed to pay 1.40 euro for the water. I simply handed her the water back. I genuinely could not believe they did not provide water for guests even in the LOBBY. I asked if we could check our bags there and they said yes. After 3 PM when we did check in, they not only had not placed the bags in our room as a nice hotel would do, but when I went to retrieve the luggage, the staff simply opened the door and pointed to the bags — again, no offer to help us get the suitcases to the room — or even bring the bags to the door of the room that they were being stored in. The mattresses on the beds were very thin and flimsy; I’ve been to summer camps with better beds.
We did not eat any meals at the hotel restaurant at the hotel restaurant because we did not want to give them any more money, but I did order some water and a soda from the bar to take up to the pool and the bartender was very nice.
And yes, Mr. Attard, I did have a safe journey back home.😊
Had a great time here. Would advise getting a sea view room with a balcony as the view is stunning. The staff here were wonderful and I have to mention Leno, Dishan,
Jakob and Tamara who couldn’t do enough for us and we were able to have a good laugh with them also. They were all polite and professional. The cleaners were also considerate and cleaned our room perfectly. The food was nice but not a lot of choice with the evening meals if you were half board. The hotel is quirky and could do with some updating but other than that we would definitely go back.
We have stayed here last year but this year it was our honeymoon and we were so impressed with the hotel from the staff polite and friendly and the manager was very polite and professional and the breakfast was simply perfect
The hotel is so clean and relaxing having your morning coffee looking at the bay we are definitely going back next year we call it our happy place
We had a great holiday in St Patrick's, very pleasant and clean hotel with a lot of character. The room was large with a magnificent view of the bay from the small balcony. It was quiet even though being above the small prom with restaurants. The food , we were on half board, was very good , well cooked and varied, A nice feature was that tables were reserved right on front by sea for those on half board. The breakfast was fine with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. One small issue was the fruit juices ,a bit insipid.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times.
There is a nice roof terrace with excellent views of area inland and over the bay.
We were there for 10 days and only used the excellent bus service once to visit Victoria , but because so hot decided to save the rest of Gozo for another time.
One strange thing is about the bread. It was said to be really good. However as at home something seems to have happened as it has a hard crust ,not crispy, and is cotton wool inside. Minor issue but all very odd.
Nevertheless an enjoyable holiday and thanks to staff for helping to make it so
Welcome and check-in was great.
This was a last minute booking, which meant only valley view rooms were available. The room was functional, came with a basic lounge area and very, very clean. Aircon was great.
There was a reasonable choice at breakfast, ate and drank elsewhere for other meals.
Rooftop sunbathing area needs more umbrellas. It's fairly basic on the roof, but, fantastic views, with jacuzzi and plunge pool.
No real complaints, good value for money, great location without a beach.
What a fantastic place to stay . Relaxing and very helpful friendly staff who could not do enough for us. The roof terrace with plunge pool and jacuzzi was perfect. Views over the bay are amazing and the bay so refreshing for swimming. Air con was amazing in the rooms. Decor in the rooms rustic but very comfortable bed. We will definitely be back
This hotel was fantastic after reading others reviews thought would give it a shot and boy it did not disappoint! The views out to sea were spectacular with gorgeous sunsets. We had the valley view and sitting watching out the back was just as entertaining! We were there during the festa and had great views of the fireworks and celebrations as well as going to watch the competitions on the water. The hotel is very clean and the air con when you walk in is very much needed in the heat. Great when you come back in from being out all day. The rooms had everything we could need, fridge, coffee making facilities and these were topped up for us each day. The cleaning staff do a fantastic job and if we needed anything we just asked and they were happy to help. The pool is a little small but if you time it right you can get it to yourself ! The manager said they were looking to do upgrades to the pool (if the hotel can hold the weight) and bathrooms in the future. The walls are very solid and the balcony doors were very sound proof from the outside goings on which was very helpful for getting some shut eye. The breakfast was a great selection of pastry’s, cereals, cooked breakfast and vegetarian option as well as juices/water/teas and coffee. You also get discount if eating in the restaurant. This is a great base to explore Xlendi and Gozo. The staff are very friendly there is also a place to keep your luggage on check out day. Would highly recommend this gem of a hotel
We were very wary arriving due to previous negative reviews. If you take this place for what it is you won't have an issue. All staff were great, breakfast has plenty of choice, the location is great, additional discounts on food as your a guest was a nice bonus. We had a sea view room, if its available I would 100% recommend booking it. The pool is very very small however does the job as it was boiling last week. There are areas for improvement but it's a little gem, I wouldn't get too hung up on other reviews, we weren't in the room for longer than an hour during the day apart from sleeping of course, don't leave the air con on too high when going to sleep you will wake up freezing but its an absolute savior walking back up from the beach. Yes the lift is slow and can only hold 4 people at a push, but take the stairs if you can. Our room was cleaned every other day as sometimes we didn't need it done however when it was cleaned it was a basic clean, fine for us! It was a great addition to have beers in the fridge and the bed set up for our visit. The staff cannot do enough for you!
