Great location but deceiving.
Pros:

We stayed here for 4 nights when we visited Krakow. First impressions where very good. The lobby was very warm and clean and had a really nice atmosphere. The staff at check in were very friendly. Great central location to the Old Town.

After checking in we were told our room was at the back of the hotel. Basically like a separate building from the main building. We headed down a really cold long corridor to find the lift.

When we entered our room it was absolutely freezing! Bearing in mind the temperatures outside where below freezing. We didnt think much of it at first as we thought the room had just been unoccupied for sometime. When we arrived back on the night, the room felt even colder. I checked the radiator and it was barely warm.

I went and complained to the front desk and the lady asked me if the radiator was turned up which it was. She offered us a heater to be brought upto the room. I agreed to this.

A man brought in a heater and he was fiddling about with it for ages then told my partner it was "kaput" and needed to get another one. The second heater thankfully worked but it took around 3 days before we even noticed a difference and for the room to even heat up. There was massive draft coming from the window so my partner had to fold to curtains in and put towels along the bottom to try and keep the heat in.

That part of the hotel was alot colder than the main part. It was extremely noisy and the walls are paper thin to the point you could actually hear people snoring and clear conversations. Toilets being flushed etc.
There was also problems with the water all week and we had no access to it between 10am - 5pm.

The main lobby was full of students congregating and smoking near the doors outside which was quite intimidating and the staff did nothing to really prevent this.

After reading other reviews it's quite clear the staff are aware that the heating does not work in some rooms. On leaving we noticed the same heaters we were given were also outside other people's rooms.

We loved our trip but unfortunately the hotel was what ruined it for us. I definitely wouldn't class it as a 3 star.

The water coming out the showers and sinks was yellow or brown some days and some days water wouldn’t work for a couple of hours and the corridors were filthy and covered in Oreo’s and no one has came to clean them but comfy beds and nice rooms and bar

Disappointing
Pros:

On arrival check in was quick , we headed to the "twin classic room" we had booked.

Room :
We were greeted by a very narrow room which we joked was like a broom cupboard. On further investigation the bathroom was so tiny , had we been larger ladies we wouldn't have got in there. As an example once out of the shower to towel dry your back you had to leave the shower cubicle open and utilise that space to accomplish your mission!!!
No fridge in the room, (we like fresh milk in tea) so stored milk at reception in their fridge meaning a trip to reception every time. We also asked for a replacement kettle as the one in situ was caked in limescale.
No safe provision in the room either and wardrobe/hanging space was tiny.
We queried if we had been allocated the correct room type to be told we had, we were offered an option to change but for 3 nights we decided to stay put. The room was warm ( probably due to the size) and it was minus 12 during our stay .

Noise :
I awoke around 01.15am one night due to hearing a thudding noise repetitively I couldn't work out where it was coming from, either in the hotel or surrounding area , I assumed someone must have complained as this continued for a further 30 minutes then stopped. Sleep was disturbed by this point and we had an excursion early that morning. On returning in the afternoon the thudding bass noise could be heard again, we called reception and a duty manager attended our room, he left then called the room and said the noise was from a club ( snooker/bar) attached to the hotel but was not run by the hotel therefore they had no control over this. Found information via Internet stating the club (Diament) is in the basement of Hotel Wyspianski and some rooms can be affected by noise (this information as per attached photos.)

Bar :
The bar in the hotel is quite small but offers a good range of drinks , I purchased a Pepsi max , I was charged 16 polish zloty, the menu clearly showed it was 13 polish zloty. Disappointing experience again. Bar staff quite abrupt .

Loss of facility :
For two days of our stay there was no water in the hotel between 10.00am and 17.00pm, information signs were displayed by the lift but no reason given as to why this basic facility was lost.

Overall a very disappointing stay, the only plus point for this hotel is location and access to the main square in around five minutes.
Will not return.
