Widok za oknem zebr i żyraf chodzących po trawniku nad basenem robi duże wrażenie, od razu się czlowiek uśmiecha, super jest też bliskość wodospadów, można tam pójść wielokrotnie bez oplat, a wg mnie widok na wodospady od strony Zambii jest dużo piękniejszy niż od Zimbabwe, zdecydowanie polecam

We had a great time, everyone was charming and the animals were incredible
Pros:

The location was really good - it was great being within easy walking distance of the Falls. And we loved the animals roaming the location.

Cons:

It was very hot and the duvets were too thick. We should have asked for thinner ones, I'm sure they would have provided them.

Would recommend to any visitors going to see the Falls, in fact think it is by far the best option.
Pros:

Being able to access the Falls any time of day, especially early morning is a game changer. Giraffe's, Zebra and Impala roaming the grounds is amazing. Access for a special dinner at Royal Livingston is another big plus.

It should have been paradise. This room should be a learning experience for Minor hotel mgmt!
Pros:

Location, Location, Location, this is the place to stay if you want to see Victoria Falls. 'wide' animals roaming the premises and beautiful gardens/landscaping. It's almost as beautiful as the falls. Unlimited/free Access to the Zambia national park just out the back gate is what sold me on the place. People and breakfast are also all fantastic

Cons:

Our room was in serious need of repair. The shower door was almost falling off the wall. The toilet seat refused to stay up. The power outlet and usb plugs by the window side of the bed did not work. The thermostat was so worn you could not make out all of the settings. Just one of these I could have lived with in a $500/night room. All of these together, make me wonder whether I should recommend anyone else coming here. It is Africa, but the idea is that when you are in the Avani it should be paradise. It could have been. I did mention the toilet seat to the staff, I ended up using my t-shirt to tie the lid up, they should have seen this and immediately taken action.. They didn't. Serious room for improvement. Having said that I would still recommend this to anyone visiting the falls, maybe I should have complained loudly, but the ambiance made me take it stride.

Very nice experience at Avani Victoria Falls Resort !
Pros:

We had an unforgettable experience in Livingston and the Avani hotel. Everything was amazing! It is incredible that from our room with a 5 minute walk we found ourselves in front of the Victoria Falls.
At the hotel all the staff are very hospitable, willing to serve you, always with a smile that makes your mood.The breakfast is amazing and especially the sweets!!
The room is very clean as are all the areas of the hotel. Thank you all for our wonderful stay and we hope to see you again.Nikos and Voula from Greece 🇬🇷

Unbelievable Boma dinner experience!
Pros:

We tried the restaurant for a Boma Dinner experience and it was simply exquisite. Nowhere else have I tried food like here. The staff was amazing and Chef Teddy is truly a master of his art! Chapeau 🎩!!

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet our expectations. The staff, especially at the reception, were very unhelpful and sometimes rude. Basic questions could not be adequately answered, and no one offered or explained airport transfer options. We later found out that transfers are often unavailable due to a lack of cars and must be arranged well in advance, which was never communicated.

The hotel does not respond to messages on Booking.com at all - communication is only possible by email, and replies are very slow. Payment was another major issue: we were not informed in advance that payment must be made on-site, not through Booking.com. We only discovered this just before check-out and had to contact Booking support to confirm it.

Room service was very slow and required multiple calls. The air conditioning units were very noisy, and the hotel does not feel new. The restaurant is located in the middle of the hotel, under a roof only, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable during lunchtime. Given the price, the overall experience was not worth it.

The only positives were the wildlife on the property (zebras, giraffes, monkeys) and the location close to Victoria Falls. Other than that, we were very disappointed, mainly due to the poor service and lack of hospitality.

Great location, great natural environment, so-so hotel
Pros:

The Avani Victoria Falls resort benefits from two main advantages: extremely close proximity to Victoria Falls (5 mins walk to the back gate and there you are at the entrance to the falls, with park fee already included with your stay), and wild animals roaming around the grounds since the hotel is inside the national park surrounding the falls (mostly impala, zebras, baboons & monkeys and the occasional giraffe). Those aspects are truly unique and basically impossible to replicate elsewhere, save for the Royal Livingstone Hotel, its sister property nearby. Otherwise, the rooms are fine - comfortable, nothing too fancy - and the pool and grounds are attractive. The food was just okay and service was often slow. Slow food service is not unique to travel in Africa but could be better at this property. Breakfast was solid and the buffet setup mitigated the slow service compared to dinner. Staff is friendly, although take care not to leave your valuables behind after checkout, as they might not make it back to you, as we learned from a fellow traveler. There are fancier lodges with better food & service in the area, but at higher prices, while the Avani is more of a standard hotel, with the major exception of being so close to the falls and being among the animals.
