Avani Victoria Falls Resort

Had a wonderful time at Avani. The atmosphere, hospitality, and overall experience were excellent, and the staff truly made us feel welcome.

My only critique is with the digital amenities. The mobile app proved unreliable during our stay—an order for dinner took over an hour with no status updates, and we eventually had to walk to the restaurant to find out the app manager wasn't available. We ran into similar issues with the buggy requests. Additionally room phone shortcuts and the TV system didn't have clear instructions or functioning auto dials for assistance.
Despite these technical hiccups, the physical service, the beautiful location, and the warmth of the team won us over. We will stay here again, we’ll just skip the app next time and speak directly to the team!

The contact with animals

Amazing property, renovated rooms and well positions right at the falls. Next door to the Royal Livingstone hotel which makes it easier to move around between the 2 for change in restaurant and ambiance. The 2 hotels also share shuttle services etc.

Avani is in a nice location and is neatly maintained. I enjoyed my wildlife around the resort and I could easily access the Victoria Falls, which was amazing

Avani Victoria Falls Resort didn't disappoint as I stayed here 12 years ago and it is still an amazing place to stay as the Victoria Falls is right behind the resort and you can go there as many times as you like for free staying at this place where as on the Zimbabwe side you have to pay and can only go once. Loved the zebras just wondering about the resort. Rooms are clean and bright, breakfast plenty to choose from and very friendly staff we all loved our stay.

Avani at Victoria Falls was such an enjoyable stay. If you have kids the pool is especially so much fun. The whole place is beautiful and kept well. The staff were fantastic. I especially enjoyed the hamburger that Albert made. The breakfast was delicious-perhaps the best you can find in Zambia.

The staff were very helpful and polite. From the lady at reception, Ketasy, to Alan the bartender and also Chewe at the restaurant. I also loved seeing giraffes, baboons, and zebras walking around freely. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and I must say, value for money. Breakfast at the Theatre of Food was well presented and balanced. I loved the Mukuni Boma dinner, especially the special effects of dancing, storytelling, and musical display.

I recently stayed at Avani Victoria Falls Resort and came away with mixed feelings. The location and wildlife experience are truly special, with easy access to Victoria Falls, comfortable rooms, and excellent food throughout the stay. However, the overall atmosphere felt more like a large high-volume resort than the refined, personalised luxury experience presented online. Service was inconsistent at times, with delays for simple requests such as coffee orders and laundry collection. While the hotel has many strengths, especially its setting and friendly staff, travellers seeking a calm boutique-style luxury experience with strong attention to detail may find other African lodges more aligned with those expectations.

Zebras, Giraffen und impalas bewegen sich frei in der Anlage. Ca 5-10 Min. Zu Fuss zu den Victoria Fällen, täglich von 6-6 geöffnet, kostenfreier Zugang, außerhalb des Hotels auch einige Shops und ein Kiosk. Im Hotel ein Shop und Schalter für Ausflüge und Transfers (Bushtracks).
Unser Transfer hat wunderbar funktioniert (von VFA 45$ pP one way), die Fahrer helfen auch an der Grenze.
Ca 1h Fahrt bis zur Grenze nach Botswana (Safari).

Our stay at Avani was incredible. From the lovely song and dance welcome we received upon entrance to a smooth, carefree checkout. The layout of the hotel was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was only a short walk to the falls so the location could not have been better! The rooms were tidy and spacious and I can’t remember the last time my hotel bed was so comfy! The view from our balcony was breathtaking with zebras, giraffes and monkeys roaming around, what a treat to see! I would also like to give a special praise and thanks to chef Mohamed who sorted us out incredibly during our stay. As we require Halal food, we were able to take all of our own meats (at a corkage fee) and chef Mohamed prepared it for us very kindly. The service was excellent and we were all very pleased. Each afternoon and evening a table was prepared for the whole family and the staff would see to all our needs very carefully with care. Thank you to ALL the staff at Avani for being so accommodating, hospitable and welcoming, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

The tranquil surrounding of the hotel which is experienced just from the moment you arrive at the hotel lobby coupled with the scent of fresh jasmine and the gentle sound of a cascading natural green environment feature welcome you into a world of calm.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff, the stay was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful when needed. Definitely go back again
