It was a pleasant stay.
Cons:

I would prefer Marriott atlwast keep 2 water bottles per room as complimentary. A bottle was $3, way too much. We had to pay separate 45 for parking.

We enjoyed eating out on the patio - service was great.
Pros:

We only ate afternoon appies and dinner at the hotel but were very happy with the menu and presentation of the food. In fact, I would love it if the chef would be kind enough to share his recipe for the eggplant dip - that really was delicious.

Cons:

For me, and I know this is not really fixable, the HVAC system was very difficult to live with - the air was dry and overheated, a problem unfortunately endemic in hotels and other facilities.

Pros:

The 2 women that checked us in and out were friendly, efficient and incredibly professional despite having a bunch of us yahoos arriving and inundateding their beautiful hotel for a raucous AC/DC concert. We'll done Ladies!!

We like to stay here when in Edmonton.
Pros:

Basic but good.

Cons:

Nothing I didn't like. But we believe we accidentally booked Jun 23-24 twice. We were charged twice for it. When we arrived the receptionist told us that we had TWO rooms booked. VISA shows two payments for this date. Could we get a refund for one of them.

Cons:

They didn't return my deposit. I think the extra money was debited from my card again

They cleaned the room until 6:30 pm
It was raining and there is no roof at the car lobby so we got wet.

Pros:

Staff were great

Cons:

Extra charges for everything from parking at $45/night plus $3 for a bottle of water? When the room is over $200/night the water should be free. Took about 5 minutes for the shower to get hot water. Parking lot is old and needs to be updated.

Not Worth The Money
Pros:

I regularly stay in hotels for both work and personal travel and have only ever had good experiences with Marriott. I have not stayed at this hotel before but was really looking forward to it. We paid more to stay in a room with a view and when we arrived in our room, there’s big windows but they were so dirty, it was hard to look past it to see the view. The rest of the room was clean and everything seemed to work including the air conditioning so that’s a positive but the decor is sort of odd. Just not what you would expect from a higher end hotel. We waited in a long line up trying to check in and it was very slow moving. The front desk staff looked overwhelmed. We tried out the rooftop restaurant which was the main reason we booked here and the service was again very slow and the food was not great. It was the first time I’ve ever had a salad where the best thing in it was the lettuce. That small tasteless salad was approx. $35. Later we heard a front desk staff arguing with a guest which was very uncomfortable and it just felt as though they weren’t being very accommodating to this man and his family. I will give credit to the hotel for their fitness room. It was large with lots of light and a good amount of equipment and weights. With so many other options in the area, we won’t be staying here again.

Decent.
Pros:

Close to my workplace.

Cons:

Hard to get into. Food was expensive. Prepaid $45/day parking very expensive considering there were no parking stalls to park in as new guests were arriving for the weekend.

An average day. The hotel is located in a good spot. The room says it’s a big. The staff are grumpy
Pros:

Good

Cons:

Staff and I booked accommodation with breakfast. I selected four adults and no way on the confirmation sheet did it say that breakfast was only for two adults. We chose to eat out of the hotel for this inconvenience. We did ask the Reception staff to speak to the manager with no positive outcome.

Busy hotel with good river views.
Pros:

River view from room. Was possible to pay for late checkout.

Cons:

Prefer a proper door to bathroom instead of sliding door. Queues at reception. Parking very expensive.
