Staff and food excellent, holiday spoilt by lack of information about Lift breakdown.

Size of room great
view from room excellent

Cons:

We were dismayed to find that the lift was not working when we had specifically asked that there was a lift info stated there was, we wern't informed that it was out of order and had been for some time, also that it wouldn't be repaired until August.
As they knew about this they should have told us the river view rooms were not available instead of letting us book it, totally spoilt our holiday we left early as we couldn't manage 2 flights of stairs.

Good stay in a fantastic location.
Pros:

Fantastic location. Room as per pictures. Plenty of tea and coffee. Great pool and spa facilities.

Cons:

Lifts not working. Had to request robe and slippers and body lotion, would be better if these were provided rather than having to be asked for, especially as I needed them for the spa treatment I had already booked for the next day. Had to request another towel.

Pros:

Lovely decor, friendly staff, comfy beds and great central location.
We had a noise complaint and the staff were incredibly amenable.

Cons:

We were in a room opposite the lifts and so you could hear folk coming and the lift doors. We also needed to put a towel across the bottom of the door to block the light out.

Unfortunately there was a group staying along the corridor who woke us 3 times during the night. I had to phone reception and the night staff member was incredibly prompt and professional. The noise continued following his interaction and clearly another guest complained as he had to visit again, at which point the disturbance settled. Sadly this did affect our nights stay but we were offered a discount on our departure owing to the poor night's sleep.
Not a fault of the hotel and the staff were prompt and professional.

Disappointing given the price.
Pros:

Enjoyed the use of the spa facilities.

Cons:

Service could be better, room heater was not working properly so room was cold, light from hall was coming through door into room and noise from hallway/room next door made it difficult to sleep.
