Average hotel, staff is amazing and great. Great location. Bad is nothing has been done to this hotel since maybe the 1960s or when it was built. For the price and location its a good value. Take your ear plugs as well.
A great 10 days spent at this lovely hotel.
Rooms spotless. Different ones to choose from. I had a nile view and it was amazing. Watching the balloons rise in the early morning mist.
The spa also worth a visit. Dina was the masseuse and reflexologist. Very highly qualified. Could work at any top class spa world wide.
Gigi was in reception to deal with any enquiries, her memory for faces and room numbers was amazing. Staff in reception were equally helpful and accommodating.
All the staff work so hard to make sure everything is perfect.
Noby and Salwa were on hand round the pool for your every need. Nothing too much trouble.
Has soon as we entered the building we were greeted with smiles , we had a deluxe room with a view of the Nile and the Vally of the King's!! Fantastic!!
All the staff are very attentive and nothing was not available.
We had a leak on the toilet the 2nd day , I informed the Duty Manager (Ali) withing 10 mins he upgraded us to the penthouse suite OMG .
I cannot recommend this hotel enough , the pool area is great and kept very clean, as is the rest of the hotel .
First of all a very wonderful and spacious room ,most comfortable room bed i have slept on and the view is incredible ,shout out to mrs/Ali (guest relation) perfect guy that helped and assisted me at the most and also the best experience and new thing was the salt cave related to the spa. And very nice decorations
I’m lying in a bed right now that is rock hard! I might as well be sleeping on the footpath! This hotel is very dated and pool is not heated. I’m sure there are better places in town.
I have been visiting Luxor for over a thirty year period and I have stayed at the Aracan Eatabe under many of its guises for the majority of those visits. This time I stayed after a three year absence and although my previous visit did not disappoint, I thought the hotel had improved its standard.
I had a Nile View room on the 4th floor that was well appointed and kept clean in a very efficient manner.
The staff, some of whom I have known for all these years were as friendly and as welcoming as ever.
The breakfast was greatly improved from last time with plenty of choice of Western and Egyptian dishes. Omelettes were cooked to order. Tables were cleared quickly and the waiters were always on hand to help.
The pool area was kept clean and tidy with a ready supply of fresh, laundered towels.
There is a certain amount of road noise as one would expect, but it was no way detracting. Heavy curtains drawn at night blocked out any noise.
The location is fantastic as both Luxor and Karnak Temples are within walking distance. The ferry is virtually opposite. Walking to the bazaar and local restaurants is easy as they’re so close.
There are a number of staff I could mention, but there are too many and I wouldn’t want to miss anyone out who made my stay so comfortable. However, the exception is Aly (Customer manager). He is such an asset to the hotel. So welcoming and friendly and always happy to pass the time of day with. He never changes.
Thank you again for a great stay.
The staff at the hotel are professional and personable. They do their utmost to meet all your requests. Great place to relax after a day of sightseeing.
Aracan hotel as a great choice. The room was very comfortable, and we had a terrific view of the Nile. The breakfast buffet offering was broad and very nice. We dined one night in their restaurant and it was very good. The facilities — including the pool — were very nice. The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful and provide warm hospitality — particularly Aly. They work very hard to keep guests satisfied.
The location can’t be beat: right on the Nile, short walk to Luxor temple, short walk to Luxor Museum, short walk to Karnak Temple. Next door is a small grocery store which is quite helpful. Also walking distance to stores and restaurants. It is on a main street which adds a bit more noise, but we did not find this a problem at all.
Good stay
Comfortable beds
Laundry service really good prices
We ate dinner and lunch
There’s an internal shop without the people pressuring you and really good prices
Do your shopping there
when i checked into hotel, they didnt give me the room i had booked but chose to give me a lower graded room which meant i had to complain to get what i paid for the day later.
New room was ok but air con poor, noisy.. Food was ok but very basic
Very good
the hotel was amazing the staff were so friendly !!! Room was great, wifi is good too.
Breakfast was good too i would definitely recommend this to a friend/stay again
Very nice and classy respectful lad in there called Aly guest relation wonderful experience in the spa the vibes in the swimming pool is hell yeah good
Back after 13 year absence and it still feels like home. Some old faces and some new ones.
Gigi and Aly guest relations team arr amazing nothing is to much trouble for them.
Breakfast not my cup of tea but the egg chef does s mean fried egg but you have to tell him one side only he loved to flip
Pool area spotless.
Ron with view of the Nile. Serviced every day even my clothes get folded 😆.
Laundry service and day very reasonable
1 at absolute best. Very shabby, no aircon in room, phone to reception didn't work, bathroom had nowhere to put toiletries, hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Dust on everything. PowerPoints didn't work. Pool area very tired( cracked tiles, concrete)breakfast buffet very poor. All up 1 is very generous
Great stay
I booked online a room with garden view. They gave me a room in the old building which seems like a prison, the furniture was so old, the bathroom unclean, the electricity plug was broken, everything not well maintained and not matching the photos in the advert. The old building is like a guest house with no lift !!
I asked to move to the new building, so they asked me to pay more to be upgraded.
I showed them the pictures on Agoda website, so they apologised and gave me a room with Nile view.
I don't care about the Nile view. All that I need a clean room matching a hotel 4 stars !! All the rooms should be the same!
In the new room, there was a leak in the bathroom's ceiling ! And the bathroom was wet all the day !! We mentioned this to the reception, but nothing changed !! No one fixed during our stay (3 nights!)
Then, I asked for an iron (as all the hotels that I used to go have iron in the room), but they said no; as they offer laundry service and they can iron my dress for £90 !! And wait one day till be ironed !!
The breakfast, the boiled egg was grey from the inside which means they are not fresh! And the tomato was spoiled !!
We paid double the price the surroundings hotels offer, but I did not get what I expected!!
Poor food options
Very good place to stay in Luxor.
The hotel was very secure with security at the gates and x-ray for baggage at the entrance. The lobby is quite large, with a restaurant, gift shop and station to arrange transportation. The food was good. Our room was nice, but not quite as cool as we would like. The rug in our room was pretty dirty and had not been cleaned in a long time. Otherwise we had a great stay.
