Overall I would highly recommend The Royal for its hospitality, comfort and location.
Pros:

Receptionist was very warm and welcoming. Room very comfortable.

A warm and comfortable stay
Pros:

Everything was really wonderful during our stay. The rooms were large and spotlessly clean, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, even lending me an electrical converter for my stay. The breakfast was first class, with a hot meal menu plus a self serve buffet appealing to American and European tastes. I highly recommend!

Stylish, contemporary and friendly!
Pros:

We stayed here for 2 nights in August 2026, right in the middle of high season. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and modern, and the room large and comfortable with lots of space to relax. John, the concierge, went out of his way to be helpful at all times, and was friendly and chatty, giving advice on places to go. This hotel is a real haven in the heart of a bustling town!

Lovely Stay with Exceptional Service!
Pros:

My wife and I recently stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is lovely, and its convenient location made it super easy to explore the nearby sites.

As two disabled guests, accessibility and support are extremely important to us, and the entire team was exceptionally accommodating throughout our stay. John, the porter, went above and beyond to ensure our day wasn't interrupted, seamlessly making sure all of our belongings were delivered safely to our room.

We also had a minor issue when our coffee maker stopped working, but Patrick, the General Manager, was incredibly attentive and quickly resolved it for us.

Overall, the warmth and helpfulness of the staff made our trip stress-free and memorable. We highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing Service
Pros:

Had a lovely 2 night stay at the Royal Townhouse and loved every second of it. John and Yana were so welcoming and gave us fantastic advice and knowledge about the local area. They greeted us with a glass of whiskey each and sent us home with a box of fresh scones. They really made our stay extra special and added that personal touch. Thank you both for lovely chats and an unforgettable stay, from the three Tipp ladies

Fantastic hotel.
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay here. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable stay. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the beds are super comfortable

We would highly recommend a stay here

Very impressive hotel in the heart of Killarney

We were extremely impressed with our stay at the Killarney Royal Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and friendly welcome at reception. The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout, creating a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere.

The bar area was particularly impressive, perfectly positioned and an excellent place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Our room was perfect, with a great-sized bed that was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night’s sleep.

Breakfast was a real pleasure. There was an excellent choice from the hot food menu, along with a wide range of fresh and delicious buffet options. The quality and variety available were outstanding.

What truly made our stay special was the staff. Every member of the team we interacted with was incredibly courteous, professional, and polite, providing excellent service at all times.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return in the future. We would also highly recommend the Killarney Royal Hotel to anyone visiting Killarney.

Highly recommend!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay in Killarney! Our room was exquisite, with an incredibly comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, and a beautiful spa-like bathroom. The hotel is perfectly located within easy walking distance of pubs, shops, and local attractions. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it!

Pros:

There are so much to love! The kind staff, perfect location, and cozy room & bathroom were all highlights of our time in Killarney.

Cons:

Our room had windows facing an indoor corridor, which were half blocked by some concrete columns where several pigeons lived - would’ve loved to get better natural light or be able to open the window at night without fearing a feathered friend would end up in the room with us. Also, the free parking is a few blocks way (~5min walk). It was not a problem, but something we expected and was inconvenient at check-in/out and when leaving to drive somewhere.
