Pros:

Staff in the rib room were superb esciallhbthe supervisor. Efficient, friendly and very professional.

Reception staff need some training. No greeting or smile.

Perfect for our overnight before visiting Durham.
Pros:

Lovely view over the lake from the bedroom. Comfortable bed and large room with everything we needed. Smart and spacious bathroom too. Plenty of onsite parking and friendly staff.

After being moved it was good,

Great room with roll-top bath and four-poster bed. Friendly, helpful staff, wonderful breakfast. Good parking and great

There was a prom the night I stayed and it went on past my bedtime 🥱 it wasn’t a major issue though.

Cons:

Arrived for at 9:30am.
Picked the best table of a bad bunch of uncleaned tables. Had to find a waiter to ask for coffee. Fresh orange empty. Then had to find a waiter for a plate to use at the buffet. 2 mushrooms left and eggs overdone. A 4 star hotel ought to be able to provide a far better experience than this 🤔.
Waiters looked over worked and under staffed !

Pros:

Fantastic location. The hotel was superb and staff very attentive and professional. Room a bit small but it was the standard room.
