まず、入り口の池から匂いがして気になった。
お部屋では、調理道具の置く場所の説明がなく、鍋やフライパンが見つからなくて
フロントに説明書きがあることを後で気がついた。宿泊者みんなが英語ができるわけないので翻訳文が欲しかったです。
お部屋では仕切りドアが壊れてあり、開け閉めするのに手と足を怪我してしまった。
上の階の部屋の椅子を引きずる音も部屋に響き、夜中目が覚めるほどうるさかった。
What did you like?
I really enjoyed the convenient location and the beautiful view from our room. It was great to have a clean, functional kitchen, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
What didn't you like?
While the parking lot was spacious, the individual parking spaces were quite tight, making it a bit challenging to maneuver. Aside from that, everything else was very clean and well-maintained.

Extremely disappointed
I rarely give a bad review, but in this case I believe it's necessary. My family of 5 arrived for our booking at approximately 10pm, this includes 3 children including a toddler. When we arrived, the desk clerk tells me that I nt am not registered in the system, even though I clearly had confirmation from Booking.com. In fact, I had been in communication with the Aston days before even arriving. I contacted Booking.com, but they were no help either. My family and I drove around Honolulu for about 2 hours trying to find lodging for the night..... Again, this is with three kids, and by this time it's already past 12am. We are all exhausted, tired and irritated. Sometime past midnight I received a random text message saying " Welcome to the Aston, we hope you enjoy your stay". I immediately called the number that texted me, and the same desk clerk I had met with 2 hours before picked up the phone. I said, "how could it be that I just received a welcome text from you, but you're saying you don't have my registration"..... The guy then tells me, "oh my bad, we moved half of our guests to the Sunset Waikiki due to a power outage"..... I drove to the Sunset Waikiki immediately, and sure enough our suite was there. How could it be that the original desk clerk couldn't fathom telling me from the very beginning to go to the Sunset Waikiki as half there guess have moved there??....... I never received any apology from any of these people including Booking.com, the hotel never apologized, no voucher, no discount, not even a verbal apology... Nothing.

Waikiki Banyon needs to improve communication skills.
An evacuation announcement came over the PA. We had to walk down 31 flights of stairs. No explanation was given as to why we were evacuated from our rooms. Speculation was a washing machine had started smoking from being overloaded. Apparently this is reoccurring since the cost of the washing machines doubled.
Secondly the pool was shut down unexpectedly for maintenance. The only notification was at the pool when you arrived to go swimming. It would be helpful to have a notification posted in the elevators or the communication boards outside the elevators.
Staff members either had no idea the pool was closed or any speculation as to when it might be open. It was closed for the last 2 days of our vacation. It is not reassuring when staff don't know what is going on.
現地に車で到着した際のセキュリティや受付の対応は、久しぶりの利用で勝手が変わっていて、わからない部分もあったがとても親切に対応してくださいました。ワイキキへのアクセスは徒歩圏内と非常に便利です。駐車場が付いているのも良い点ですが、改善できる点もあります(良くなかった点参照)。部屋のスペースは日本人・大人4名での宿泊には十分です。
駐車場料金が別であること(また非常に高いこと)、ウォシュレットがないこと、備え付けの調味料がなく購入せざるを得ないこと(必要最低限の調味料くらい備え付けがあっても良い)、フロアに一台しか洗濯機・乾燥機がないこと、洗濯機エリアが22時には閉まってしまうこと、駐車場が狭いこと、クーラーの音がうるさいこと、全身を見れる鏡がないこと、など

Location is good. Restaurants are excellent. Full kitchen is amazing with beautiful views. Large room with 3 beds.
The parking stalls are too tight. Do not rent large SUV, it won't fit. Parking would be on the street if you find one close and you would have to pay the meter.
Terrible experience . Staff was not welcoming,Terrible attitudes. Not a friendly place especially staying with kids. The rooms were not what we expected,Very dirty and had roaches crawling around. The beds were uncomfortable, feel like they are very old, no support.
Absolutely terrible. Worst staff. Security didn't make it feel safe there at all. There's a video and witnesses of him cussing out a guest in front of the child. Also, he was yelling at his own staff. Very unprofessional and he was reported to the company he works for. The front desk doesn't care about guest either. Very rude. Terrible attitudes. Not a friendly place especially staying with kids. Very dirty. Needs an upgrade. Roach traps inside the units. Elevators don't work sometimes and during the stay a father and daughter were stuck in the elevator for over an hour and they seemed to not care so another guest called the fire department since the hotel Staff didn't the help. Save your money. Overpriced to have a terrible stay.
Central in Waikiki, big separate living+kitchen, very happy with the fully functional 24hour reception. The bed was good, but a bit less comfortable than other stays
We are currently staying here in an apartment with friends.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, has a huge oven and large fridge, microwave, all great for cooking meals.
It is very well set up with two double beds and also a convertible sofa in the living for sleeping.
Lots of extra bedding and towels supplied, even beach towels.
From the balcony we can sit and watch the surfers at Waikiki Beach enjoying a coffee, freshly brewed in our apartments coffee filter machine, magic on a early Hawaiian morning.
There is a great swimming pool and 3 hot tubs at the complex, the hot tubs are wonderful after the beach swim.
The apartment is a short 4-5 minute walk down to Waikiki beach for the swim.
A lovely place to stay with friends or family.
Good value if you consider being able to cook own meals and excellent location.
We stayed at this hotel in April 2026. One disadvantage of the hotel is that it is a bit outdated. However, the room was very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful with any questions about Waikiki and Honolulu.
Our flight was very late in the evening, and we were able to store our luggage in their storage room all day. As a huge bonus, they offer complimentary showers even after check-out. What else could you need for a vacation?
