Pacific Monarch Hotel

Everything is good except for the amenity charge ($30/day) that should be already included in the additional charge. It was like hidden fee that you did not see it when you are booking. This makes the hotel more attractive but when add up the amenity charge, the price will not be very compatible. This might be a strategy for the hotel, but perhaps was not right way to do so. This charge could be paid as per use.

Needs a bit of updating. Air-conditioner was old and located in the window, making it quite noisy and not very efficient. No kettle only a coffee maker.

Only had two twin beds, two queens would have been better.

The amenities were too old

They did not give me a room with a view that I booked. They automatically upgraded me to a suite before I got there to make it right. However, I was traveling alone so the extra space was useless to me and the suite needed to be remodeled. They did correct it the second day but I had to come back early from exploring the island to switch rooms. No credit was offered for them overselling my room. Once this was fixed the room was as expected and a good value for the area. The curtains need replaced but the second room was more recently remodeled.

This time we stayed in a partial ocean view hotel room (26th floor). It was as clean as one can hope for in a very tired and battered room. Bed was so uncomfortable (soft) husband slept on the couch for the entire stay. The top sheet was so thin it ripped when I turned it back on night one. Curtain hooks and sliders were stuffed so couldn’t open curtains all the way to enjoy the partial view we had bothered paying for. Actually ended up pegging curtains half up one day so that I could have a half decent view. Speakers on the TV sounded terrible so anything that had low end talking or music was just a loud scratchy mumble. Was able to Bluetooth to the bedside clock so used that for music etc. Thankfully we weren’t in the room all day. The glass was loose in the sliding doors and rattled with the wind all night. Aircon unit is so loud on low fan you would need earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. We have previously stayed in a privately owned unit in the same building and would do so again… but not in the hotel ones.

ウォシュレットではなかった。シャンプーとコンディショナーが別々では無かった。お湯を沸かすポットが無かった。ランドリーの乾燥機を使ったら赤いシミが洗濯物に沢山着いており、原因は乾燥機の中に女性のリップが入っていたことだった。ホテルに伝えたら、ランドリーは宿泊者以外も使用するのでホテルとしては何も出来ない、との回答。何だかモヤモヤした。

The elevators were awful, had to wait a long time for them, only one working for the majority of our stay. The stairs were creepy, dark and very claustrophobic feeling, lights didn’t work. The bath tub was so old and outdated, was dirty and cheaply repaired. The couch was so uncomfortable and hard, barely a cushion, and wood back. Only a small tv in the living room which was too far from the couch. Tiny air conditioner that did not cool the room, and had no A/C in the bedroom. The patio furniture was peeling and falling apart, no tv in the bedroom. The coffee pot did not work, and no salt pepper, or common necessities in the room even though it was a kitchen suite. Should be a discount for parking at your hotel, it was extremely expensive, $35.00USD a day!!! The pool chairs were stained, dingy and gross.
