The Maverick Resort

The room was nice, the pool was nice, the location was nice. The only issues we had was that they have a fire pit for guests but the whole weekend we were there we couldn’t use it because staff didn’t know how to turn it on. The hot tub wasn’t hot at all. It was about the same temp as the pool. The elevators are crazy slow. It would literally take like 10 minutes to catch one. Other than that not a bad place. Was right on the beach and the pool deck itself was nice.

This was my second visit. Had a great time on both trips.

Great place! Small efficiency type rooms with stove and good size fridge. Snack bar downstairs and laundry( though it’s across the parking lot) were nice to have.
I would say the only problem we had was the 10 am checkout time( too early) and when I called to ask about late check out, before I asked the desk clerk said “I am out of late checkouts” even though there were rooms available for the next day. So we had to rush out.

We stayed 5 nights total, and of thise 5 nights, 3 of them included a rude awaking by the construction happening just beneath our floorboards. The construction was literally taking place under our room with jackhammering, metal/concrete drilling, and metal/concrete sawing. We haven't had a chance or the money to vacation in over 3 years, and we spent a lot of money to be given this horrible experience. We understand that construction can't be avoided, but we were never warned, never given any apology, never given a heads up, and never received any notification it would be happening. It was extremely disappointing, and any customers should at the very least be given a warning. This hotel also had very little parking, and what parking they did have was very difficult to use.

I loved that it was on the beach, and the beach had small waves, so it doesn't knock you over, it was so peaceful. Very private and safe area.

Nice property and location. Rooms set up nice and clean. Construction on pool deck limits ability to lay by pool but once it’s done it will be great.

Nice and clean

The staff was excellent and the rooms were very clean. Unfortunately we had to check out a day early due to a health issue. I messaged host about a refund for the one night and never received a response.

The hotel itself was amazing. We were treated very poorly at check-in, but our encounters with the person at the front desk was good. Maybe we caught her at a bad moment.

Have stayed here several times. Have always enjoyed it. Plan on coming back next year.

The setup of the property is good, but the staff should have a better knowledge of their property and processes. Overpriced for the status of construction.
Unit floors were dirty and bed was a full not queen size as advertised online

Nice property. Our room was updated. It is a timeshare hotel that was a great value the week we booked on Hotels.com. Would stay there again. My son used the foldout couch, which he said was comfortable. The room had sliding doors which kinda created a barrier of privacy between t he e main bed and his “bed.”

the property is old. they have tried to remodel it and I am sure it is better than it was. rooms are small.

We love the Maverick, the views from the balcony, heated pool, beach access.. staff is helpful and friendly
