Nice boutique hotel, very convenient to multiple hospitals (we were there for a procedure at one of the hospitals nearby. One very nice and rare touch was newspapers at the front desk...I rarely see that in recent years.
I just got off the phone with Noah, a reservation agent at the Inn at Longwood Medical. He was friendly, professional and wonderful to speak to. Made making a couple of reservations so easy. So nice to actually speak to a person instead of doing it online. Noah is an asset to The Inn act Longwood.
Wonderful Inn for a family. Great location and the service was excellent.
Terrible place. Booked for 6 nights and left after 3. The premium double queen room 702 was terribly set up with the heating unite within a foot of the bed. Noise from surrounding hospitals at night was horrendous. $29 dollar charge for amenities of which I have no idea what amenities they were charging for. Also another $30 for parking. At check out I was told that I would not have to pay for the amenities and parking because I only stayed 3 days. I was given a bill for $177 but later found they had charged me $295 for I don't know what. Called and was told I would get a return call from the manager Angel but have not received a call back or correction on overcharge of $120. I understood booking through 3rd party forced me to pay even for days I didn't stay. But why all the other fees I did not use is just a pure ripoff from the hotel. Especially after they told me I wouldn't have to pay them and gave me a bill for $177 when they took my room keys and parking keys 3 days early. Beware of this place.
I truly appreciate the phenomenal customer service I received from Noah! He is personable and knowledgeable! Noah would make an excellent customer service trainer! He communicates well and is responsive. I also want this establishment to know that I really APPRECIATE communicating with LIVE reps without having to follow endless prompts!
Everything was great. We book the room for a hospital stay so it was close and staff was very accommodating
I have some friends headed down to Boston Children's that I was trying to book a room for. Called the Hotel and spoke to Noah who was amazingly helpful! Great customer service at a time I really needed it.
My experience with The Inn at Longwood Medical is a very positive one. Noah was unfailingly helpful and cordial. He was able to answer all of my questions and his competence as well as his warmth makes him a good ambassador for this Inn.
While the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, the hospitality was absolutely horrid. We stayed for 1 night during the week due to my 35 year old brother being admitted to the hospital for cancer. Later in the week we booked it for another night and then had to cancel because my brother was being moved to hospice. The hotel charged us for 1 night even due to the excruciating circumstances. How unethical of them. We had to cancel because my brother was literally dying and couldn’t stay in the hospital any more. I spoke with Sarah about this and she was rude, condescending, and raised her voice at me. There was zero respect or empathy. They tried to tell me there wasn’t anything they could do which I know for a fact is a lie because we adjusted the length of our first stay and they had no problem waiving fees for us then due to the circumstances. It’s absolutely heartbreaking that the hotel staff doesn’t care if they are an added stress to people in a time of hardship. Sarah (front desk staff member), the owners, board of directors and investors should all be ashamed of themselves that they allow a business to be run like this.
Close to hospital
U said price was 889.00
They charged 1200.00
My stay at The Inn at Longwood Medical the night before surgery was a mixed experience. The location is undeniably convenient, especially for those with early medical appointments, and the hotel offers “discounted” medical rates—though it is still quite expensive overall.
As part of my pre-surgery preparation, I was required to shower both the night before and early the next morning. Unfortunately, both showers were very cold. When I raised the issue, I was told the water temperature had been deliberately lowered overnight, with no further explanation or accommodation offered.
While the proximity to medical facilities is a major plus, the lack of hot water at such a critical time—and the response to my complaint—was disappointing. It left me questioning the value of the so-called medical discount.
Room was dirty, no hot water for showers, just warm.
Very small bathroom. And tub was a huge step up to get in. My disabled husband couldn't get in. The heating system doesn't work and there is a portable heater/AC on floor with a hole in the wall to vent. Very noisy system.
Parking was so expensive for night,45 bucks or more. No receipt.
Marriott discount not applied. What started out as a $250 room e
nded up costing 400 with parking. Beware.
The Inn at Longwood Medical had been incredible as I made reservations for a work conference. Noah worked with me, outlining options and adjusting my reservation as things changed. I do not travel often and Noah at the Inn was very helpful in answering my questions and providing information!
Great location- lots of food options nearby.
Has everything you need and conveniently located near all the heath care buildings
The best Boston “find” for a hotel close to the medical hub: Mass General Brigham, Dana Farber, Children’s Hospital, and many medical specialists are all within an easy walk. The staff are friendly, the rooms are spotless, and the Longwood Grille is an elevator ride away (great for when the weather isn’t conducive to exploring.) They offer a discount to patients- just bring proof of your appointment.
More often than not, I’m by myself for medical appointments, and staying at the Inn makes me feel very safe. The parking garage is well lit and covered, one flat rate until noon the following day.
And as mentioned, the restaurant is easy access as well. There’s also inside access to the food court with McD’s, Dunkin and a variety of other food options.
At a time when health issues can be stressful enough, at least your stay overnight won’t be!
(It’s also very close to a lot of attractions in Boston: Fenway Park, Museum of Fine Arts, far too many to list.)
