I absolutely would NOT stay here again. We paid extra for a view room, which was the only redeeming aspect of the place. The rooms were small and noisy but worst of all -- despite a chilly night (55 degrees) and all the windows open, the room was SWELTERINGLY HOT (the thermostat did not work) and the BEDS were a MUSHY, SMOOSHY, DROOPY PILE of cotton wadding -- BOTH of them. None of us (4 people) slept a wink and were happy to be out of there, never to return. Sad, b/c the young men at the front desk, and other workers, were extremely nice and welcoming.
Refer to the detailed review given. This includes photos. Pictures are worth more than simple words. In short. Rundown. Not clean. Spiders and safety concerns.
Room was a garden view right next to the pool and spa which was nice. The views from the dining room, breakfast room and bar are the best in Morro Bay, and the staff are warm and professional.
Everything was wonderful regarding the entire stay. The landscaping could use some TLC, but it is a large property and a lot to maintain.
The location and view were excellent, but there were several issues that made the stay disappointing. We arrived after 4:00 PM and still had to wait about 30 minutes because our room was being cleaned.
The biggest problem was the bed. It sagged on both sides with a noticeable hump in the center, making it very uncomfortable and resulting in a poor night’s sleep.
The shower also needed a much deeper cleaning. The tile and grout appeared to need scrubbing. A wash cloth on the grout removed dirt so a brush would work wonders. Also on the stair plant branches are sticking out on each step causing a trip factor while carrying the suitcase up and down stairs.
For nearly $300 per night, I expected a much higher standard of comfort and cleanliness. The beautiful view was the highlight of the stay, but overall the room did not provide the value or quality that the price suggested. Better places on the water.
The property was beautiful, and both the surrounding areas and the restaurant were truly charming.
I was disappointed by the strong smell inside the room. It had an intense chemical cleaning odor that made the stay uncomfortable. I believe the hotel should consider using milder cleaning products that are less harsh and more pleasant.Additionally, the lighting in the room and bathroom was not functioning properly. None of the lights turned on except for the one located next to the exit door, which made the room feel dim and inconvenient.I have stayed in other hotels where the rooms have no noticeable scent and all amenities work properly, which makes the experience much more enjoyable.
It’s a very nice place in the middle of nature
It’s a little far from downtown
Everything, I’ve raved to all I’ve run into since my stay!
AC
Dust and Clean the Grounds surrounding the entire facility, dirt, dust and spider webs throughout
Horrible Mattress
No improvement from last stay
Location was excellent. Jacuzzi and pool on site.
Pool and jacuzzi closed at 10.
The location, staff and value.
SOS WiFi no signal
first time here, booked King suite ocean front, fabulous views, could not easily open sliding doors to balcony, shower door not shut, no full length mirror, no hooks in bathroom, soft old bed, thin worn sheets, weak wifi, awkward TV controls, building & grounds run down, weeds in gardens, broken fences & stairway to top floor, restaurant food OK, front desk staff surly & first time in any hotel (we have stayed in thousands) where they did not ask how was our stay. Not coming back. We are frequent visitors to Morro Bay & there are better hotels along waterfront.
We love this hotel. It's our third time staying there. Fantastic rooms with water view and our room had a fireplace.
Not easy for someone disabled.
Very easy to check in, lovely staff and beautiful views from the restaurant. Room was very clean and easy parking outside rooms
