We had a delightful stay at the Inn at Morro Bay. We had a very nice room with great views overlooking the harbor and Morro Rock. The room was clean and had a gas fireplace. It wasn’t too expensive, maybe because it was mid-February. The deck overlooking the water is nice, and service was pretty good. The Inn at Morro Bay is a short walk from a small natural history museum. As some reviewers have noted, the Inn could use an update, and the rooms off the bay don’t seem as nice as those overlooking the bay. But for our trip, the Inn at Morrow Bay was great and we would recommend it to others.
This is a truly beautiful place to stay. We really enjoyed our views, and the rooms are consistently clean. Plus dog friendly 😁
No comment, cuz it was great.

Cleanness
The good: friendly staff, great location right on the water, just a few minutes from town, beautiful view from the restaurant, has a pool and hot tub.
The bad: has a lot of potential but needs some TLC. We had a double room and it seems like the furniture has been updated in recent years, but there was a hole in the wall in the bathroom, water damage to the ceiling in the shower, and knobs missing from the shutters. I think the toilet may also have been leaking because the floor was always a little wet. The mattresses are probably old- kind of sink to one side. Just overall a bit crusty for the the price. The landscaping needs maintenance. Lots of overgrown weeds and walking through dirt to get to the pool. The pool area didn’t feel particularly clean.
I think it’s mostly older hotels like this in the area but for the price, was expecting better.
My friends and I have been to the inn several times over the last few years. It’s a hidden gem. We enjoy their HH, restaurant and play golf across the street. Not to mention enjoying the peacefulness and the views.
Quiet and peaceful
Location and view
Aging facility, bathroom showing it’s age. Too bad they did not coordinate with the birding festival. The next time I come to the birding festival I will stay at a hotel that supports the festival.
After paying too much for 2 twin beds, for one night, PLUS a $25 security deposit, we found several discrepancies in the room, which either show damage in the room or missing items, in the room. Specifically: a gouge in the wall behind a chair, a door knob impacted the sheet rock and was poorly patched and unpainted, a missing latch for the security bolt, a fire extinguisher holder missing the fire extinguisher, a tear/burn in the bed cover, and a missing holder of body wash in the shower. Lastly, unless you call the main desk at the hotel, you will pay an excessive rate if you unexpectedly book through Expedia or other low-life book enterprise This experience sucked.
The room was not clean and the sheets had not been changed from the previous occupants. They were soiled and it was not feasible for our children to sleep in the bes. As a result we we forced to check out and find alternative accommodation.
Location was nice. Outside of hotel was pretty. Pool and hot tub were great. Restaurant and staff were awesome!
No body wash in one room. Asked for extra towels and didn't receive them. Duct tape on floor to hold down tile. Double beds were uncomforable.
Good half way stopping point for our road trip, staff were very quick at checking us in at a late time.
Rooms were very outdated and dirty, aircon did not work and doors barely locked.
