Pros:

Clean, modern rooms with decent bathrooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Right in the centre of the action with loads of places to eat nearby and easy walking distance from Centraal Station. The stairs aren't that much of a nightmare; if this 60+ old codger can manage them with a suitcase then I'm sure most of the whippersnappers on here can.

Location was great

Cons:

They are renovating the hotel rooms and work started early in the mirning, hammering drilling etc.
The room i was in had been upgraded and was lovely. It will be great once the work is done but it was part construction site when i was there. The lady on reception told me about the works on arrival.

Albergo in centro, comodo per qualsiasi parte di Amsterdam e per visitare la città zaino in spalla
Pros:

La posizione è davvero eccellente: l’hotel si trova in pienissimo centro, comodissimo per visitare la città. Le stanze sono appena state rinnovate e risultano moderne e piacevoli.
Il personale è super cordiale e disponibile, sempre pronto a fornire tutte le informazioni necessarie. Un servizio molto apprezzato è stato il deposito bagagli: sono stati gentilissimi a tenermi lo zaino anche il giorno della partenza, permettendomi di girare senza pensieri.
Considerando la posizione e i servizi offerti, il prezzo è decisamente buono.

Cons:

È chiaramente indicato nella descrizione e quindi chi prenota ne è consapevole, ma per raggiungere la stanza ho dovuto salire quattro piani di scale. Per me non è stato un problema, però è giusto tenerne conto, soprattutto per chi ha bagagli pesanti o difficoltà motorie. D’altronde, se si alloggia in centro ad Amsterdam, è abbastanza normale: i palazzi storici sono fatti così.
Al quarto piano la pressione dell’acqua era piuttosto bassa; tuttavia non credo sia direttamente imputabile alla struttura, ma più una colpa dell'altezza degli edifici.

A health violation

Besides the suspicious stains, hairs and bugs in the sheets, the location was in central Amsterdam.

Cons:

The room was extremely unclean. There were hairs of all colors and sizes on the sheets on all layers. There were small bugs in the bed. The rooms smelled like mold. The hallways looked like the building was falling apart. You could hear everything in the neighboring rooms. When I told the staff about the hairs and bugs in my bed, instead of being accommodating and immediately changing my room, they asked me for pictures and to walk back the four flights of stairs and bring them down pictures. Then, after showing them pictures of the bugs and hairs, They gave me new sheets (which also had a hair on it.). The second day, the manager on shift offered me a new room and gave me a water bottle. This room was not as dirty, but the top layer sheets on the bed spread also had hairs on it. They reimbursed me for the stay, but still a nightmare experience. Would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Bed bugs ruined everything

After just a night of stay I have got an unwanted present - 4 bites from bed bugs, very distinct and quite itchy. I now understand why the hotel changed their name recently, this is such a bad experience. Stay away from this place.

Pros:

Einfache Unterkunft, winziges Zimmer - doch (für mich) ausreichend zum Schlafen und Duschen bei 3-tägigem Aufenthalt mit kleinem Gepäck. Zentrale Lage. Vieles fußläufig erreichbar. Freundliche, hilfsbereite Rezeption.
