Great hotel for a short stay.
Pros:

The suite was spacious and perfect for a family of 3. The location was perfect and ideal for walking. There were many restaurants and shops in the vicinity. The bed was super comfortable and is one of the best beds I've ever slept on. A great experience all in all.

Cons:

There was an almost a lack of staff presence that made it seem impersonal.

Perfect business stay
Pros:

Excellent location with a local vibe and at a walkable distance to most sites. Full breakfast and after work happy hour also excellent. Super friendly and elegant staff. Will definitely be back.

The pull out sofa was more comfortable than the mattress. A good night’s sleep is what I pay for.

A very good option for a stay in Chicago
Pros:

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. The staff were outstanding in their helpful, friendly and proactive responses. From the front desk, to the concierge, waiting staff and housekeeping, all were wonderful. The location of the hotel is great, walkable to the beach and pretty much anything else you want to do. The room was good, comfortable and a reasonable size for a large city. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the a/c which we did not find cold enough overnight. The duvet was perhaps a little thick for the warm summer nights also. Otherwise, a great stay.
