Pros:

The room was beautiful and spacious. The staff was friendly.

Bella esperienza in centro città
Pros:

Hotel nel centro città in ottima posizione. Ingresso molto affascinante con una bellissima scalinata.

Cons:

Davanti all'hotel ci sono pochi parcheggi per le auto e si è costretti a parcheggiare, a pagamento, in un autosilos distante dall'hotel. Sarebbe preferibile avere più parcheggi davanti all'hotel.

Fantastic location, very dog friendly
Pros:

Lovely lobby and very comfortable room. The staff were really lovely and accommodating, and made a big fuss of our dog. Special mention to Keely who made our stay extra special.

Charming classical historic Railway Hotel
Pros:

Central location by railway station. Lovely classic example of Victorian railway architecture. Spacious bedroom and very classy dining room. Some of the fixtures are a bit tired, but we didn't mind as it added to the period charm. Helpful desk staff.

Cons:

Car parking for drop off was extremely difficult outside the hotel.

Pros:

Central city position, parking available, grand Victorian style.

Cons:

Breakfast was poor – small selection of cold meats, machine coffee, tinned fruit. Hot breakfast at £22pp seems exorbitant. Hotel decor is tired and rather gloomy.

Hotel ancien avec beaucoup de charme. Beau lobby. Très bien placé dans la ville.

Cons:

Le petit dejeuner pour un hotel de ce standing est quelconque . Pas de bacon ni d' œufs brouillés ou alors en supplément en prenant le scottish breakfast à 22 livres !
Dans le lobby les verres du bar restent sur les tables pendant plusieurs heures sans être débarrassés.
Personnel assez désagréable.

Underwhelming stay - great location, but run down and poorly managed.

Very run down and tired.
The staff were polite and clearly trying hard by the customer service was just disappointing.
Checking in at reception was chaotic, it looks like the hotels system are clunky and disconnected.
Bookings were made months earlier on Booking.com with assigned names to rooms, but somehow that didn’t worknthroughnontontyebhiteks systems.
Dinner in Ash was good , excellent waitress and food good . They initially gave us the wrong bill though !
Breakfast disappointing- stunning room made to look like a works canteen
When we booked it said Breakfast included - but it turned out this was only continental breakfast. Cooked would be extra. This is not uncommon but it would be better if this was more visible at time of booking.
Overall this is a tired, slightly repetitive n down and poorly managed hotel in a great location .
