Pros:

The host is the best! He just got the place so he let us know it will be getting updates to the hotel. Our room was great, a little run down but still very comfortable and smelled so clean! We look forward to staying with family as they offer joint rooms and it is pet friendly! The host is very genuine and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay! Highly recommend this place, it right next to the town and 15 minutes from the pier!

A great location and comfortable stay when you just want an economic, no frills experience!
Pros:

The large king size bed was excellent for one person to sleep very comfortably. There was a desk for my laptop and very clear WiFi reception. The bathroom and shower were both in good shape and provided great water pressure and hot water. There is a safe in the closet to keep your valuables out of sight. There was plenty of room to keep my mountain bike inside. Plenty of convenient and safe parking on sight. There are quite a few good restaurants within walking distance. Cal Poly University is within 2 miles. Plenty of gas stations in the area and the 101 FWY is right across from the hotel for easy on and off access.

Cons:

The older mini refrigerator was very loud at night and the freezer door was missing. The sink fixture was loose and moved every time I turned on the faucet. The shower curtain was badly damaged but still worked. The adjacent door in the room is not very sound resistant and I could hear quite a bit of noise from the room next door. There were only 2 hangers in the closet. It would have been nice to have a few more.

It had bugs crawling in the walls and cigarette burns on bedding with stains on sheets
