I would never stay here again.
Pros:

The front desk woman was nice.

Cons:

The first room I was in was not cleaned at all. Trash everywhere, towels on the floor, and the bed was not made. The second room I was in was 2 queen beds (not what I wanted) and the tv and bath tub did not work

overall very nice...but some upkeep of the grounds and pool area needed...breakfast at 7am, not 8.

loved the pool to swim.

Cons:

the grounds were a bit dirty and unkept...lots of things on the pool patio area that needed to be picked up. Overall the motel was nice. the continental breakfast in the mornings should start at 7am not 8am as people leave early and want to get to work too. the staff was nice and the room clean...the beds were a bit too hard for my back. thank you

New owners are wonderful
Pros:

New owners are wonderful people. The upgrades they have made to the place made a good place great, but most importantly was the fantastic customer service. I really felt important and valued. Thank you

Cons:

Needs plates in the kitchen units but they are working on it. I'm looking forward to coming back already

The area was nice . Staff was nice good parking

Cons:

The bed were old hard and dented in . Felt all the springs and it wasnt the cleanest . We got the kitchen suite and the stove did not work it was a waste of money since thats what we got the kitchen for

Beat Spot In SLO..!!
Pros:

This is the best place to stay in all of SLO County.. I stay here twi E a week. Always competitive pricing, always clean, fully stocked, staff is helpful and accommodating. Always smells fresh.. I like when the AC is running when you enter the room leaving it cool and comfortable from the time you walk in. Great water pressure in the shower. Location is conveniently located right by the freeway. Gas station, Taco Bell, Jack N Box and other restaurants 2min walk. I can't say enough about this place.. I wouldn't stay anwayere else. John Wilson

Room 279 air conditioning was leaking water for the two nights we stayed for the first night I went to front desk and let the clerk know that it was water leaking from air conditioner,I got up and the middle of the night I did not notice all the water and I slept… clerk only offered towels.. I thought she was going to get me into another room, but it looked like the place was all booked…the morning We were checking out I asked clerk if it was any discount for not doing anything about it she said she couldn’t do anything, I asked who do I talk to and she gave me a business card with an email address from her boss and to email him so I did same day that was 8 days ago from today’s date (8/23/2026) and I haven’t received any response from her boss… I have two videos to prove it.. I payed almost 500 dollars to stay in this place Howard Johnson 1000 olive street San Luis Obispo.. I think it’s not right and appropriate to pay that much for a room like that…
