nice clean remolded room, staff was very helpful and friendly
needed a non-slip mat in the tube.... other than that, no real complaints
The location
Not clean at all Roaches, towels dirty, floor dirty, bed light Broken ,one set of towels in room ,ROACHES , Bathroom door wouldn’t lock or shut properly,Maintenance seems to be not that important to Management,Roaches,
We had stayed here a couple of years ago. At that time, I didn't give it a good review. I did say this place had a lot of potential if it was better taken care. When we were planning our next trip to SLO, I noticed it had been taken over by Howard Johnson. Since we like the location, I reviewed pictures and decided to give it another try. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The grounds were well kept, and the room was completely remodeled and very nice. The staff was nice and friendly. If someone is looking for clean place to say with a good location at a reasonable price, I would recommend the Olive Tree
In our room, it would have been nice to have a non-slip mat in the bathtub...but other than that no complaints
The manager Andy was great. he had his cleaning crew redo the room. and he was super pleasent.
filthy. urine spots on the sheets. dirt. material on the side table that was white and powdery. There were clear issues all over that required completely new sheets and top. i have a video that would shock
Location was fine.
Older property, run down. The bathroom fixtures were broken, carpet looks unclean, ac didn’t really work.
I really liked the back yard, we can see lot of trees, we can breathe a lot of fresh air!
This hotel was so filthy that we ended up having to leave after checking in. The floors had piles of dirt on it, the bedspreads had nasty stains, garbage was on the floor, and there were several mosquitoes and spiders. This room was definitely NOT cleaned prior to our arrival and they would not refund our money.
Everything
Small kitchen and private ground floor patio area.
Nothing springs to mind.
The inn is in a convenient location, close to downtown and with easy access to Cal Poly's Highland Drive entrance.
Unconfortably noisy. There was an interior door between my room and an adjoining room. Even though the interior door was closed, the sound of people talking next door kept me awake for hours last night. They weren't even talking very loud but their voices carried right through the interior door. Don't put yourself through this grief if you visit San Luis Obispo.
Location
Leaving the motel is a little bit difficult cuz of traffic getting on the freeway
