You will be Nickled and Dimed for everything! Be forewarned

Room was spacious and clean

I did not like the price. The cost for the evening was almost $400 as though we were downtown. Additionally, i have been to the Hilton 5 thousand times at no time have I ever paid for parking. Upon check-in we were told that the cost to park overnight was $20 per car and that it would be charged to our room. I was given a tag to put on my car to identify that I had paid. I NEVER put the tag on my car, and the next morning my car and many others were still safe and sound in the lot. Also, there was no free water in the room for standard guests. You must read the bottle carefully. It states that its only free if you are a diamond or premiere customer. Lastly, not even a complimentary breakfast was provided at this location. You could get a sandwich to go for around $12. So, I have stayed at numerous hotels around the world and have never felt as nickled and dimed as I did at this Hilton. I think they do this because the number of other hotels in the vicinity is extremely limited. We were in a wedding the next day in Hickory Hills, straight down 95th street and this was the closest. Never again. I will airbnb if needed next time. Or stayed home in my downtown condo. I could have stayed at the Hyatt Regency or the Fairmont, around the corner from me for cheaper. Do Better Oak Lawn Hilton.

Cons:

The website is have free continental breakfast when I asked about it at the front desk. They were pretty rude. I attended a family reunion banquet dinner and the food was horrible. Everything was cold.

Nice enough room.

Cons:

Prices were jacked up due to World Cup. Reserved a 2x queen room for 3 people several weeks in advance, notified staff we would be a late check-in, and still gave away our room. Gave us a king and a roll away with no bedding (took 20 mins to get it to our room), and staff at check in said they had "a lot going on today", and acted like us not having our room was the least of their problems. Comped us with a breakfast "buffet". It was NOT a buffet, it was a continental breakfast that would have been free in most hotels.
