It was an overall great experience.
Pros:

Jesse at the front desk was awesome, as was Allen the shuttle van driver. They both should be recognized and given raises!

My family and I have stayed at Marriott properties for over 25 years, so we have a very clear understanding of what a SpringHill Suites should be. This location is a massive disappointment and a poor representation of the brand.

We were only here for one night, but the state of the room was shocking. This isn't just a case of "older" decor; it is a complete lack of basic maintenance and hygiene. I have uploaded photos of our bathroom because they speak for themselves—the hinges were rusted over, and the shower fixtures were covered in thick oxidation and corrosion, to the point of not working properly.

Beyond the bathroom, the furniture and upholstery were stained and felt generally grimy. The small gym had clear sweat stains all over with nothing to clean the equipment available to users. While the staff was super nice, it’s clear that management is not reinvesting in this property, and it shows in every corner of the room.

I chose not to address this with the local staff because these aren't "missed spots" by housekeeping—these are systemic facility failures. I have already filed a formal complaint and a Brand Standard report with Marriott Corporate.

If you are traveling with your family and looking for a clean, well-maintained place near the airport, this isn't it. There are much better options in the Blue Lagoon area that actually take pride in their facility.

Primeiro, não fiquei hospedado no local. tinha reservado há seis meses, recebi e-mail confirmando a reserva no dia anterior. quando cheguei no hotel, por volta de 7h, fui informado que a reserva havia sido cancelada por recusa do cartão. explico: tive o cartão clonado no brasil e não realizei a troca no aplicativo do booking. No entanto, entendo que o correto seria o hotel aguardar minha chegada, informar a situação e solicitar o pagamento por outro cartão. como resultado, fiquei em outro país literalmente na rua, com minha esposa e filhos, tendo que procurar um hotel no início da noite, o que me obrigou a pagar três vezes mais caro por outro hotel de última hora. Ainda questionei se havia um quarto (já que o meu havia sido cancelado), mas o atendente disse que todos os quartos estavam ocupados (suponho que o que eu havia reservado também, por preço maior, claro).
Essa foi minha experiência com esse hotel.

The room was clean and the hotel staff were supportive. The hotel backs up to a lake and there is a rear patio available for breakfast or sunset relaxing. Small pool, mostly shady The complementary hotel shuttle was good. It runs every hour. Publix food store, drugstores, and a few restaurants (photo) were available by shuttle. Pretty solid value.
