Location
Muito barulho nos quartos , dá para ouvir o quarto do lado a falar , o despertador . Quartos pequenos . Uma das torres parece que já tem mais anos do que outra e parece meio esquecida . Para um 4 estrelas deixa a desejar
Clean room, most of the staff are friendly, valet staff are very helpful. There is Concierge desk next to the reception, try to check with them about discounts for entertainment trips around the Island, they have good offers. The booking includes daily room service, free water bottles, bathroom slippers, and loofa upon request. No coffee machine or microwave in the room, there is only water pot heater, one microwave available for residents in the second floor.
Location was excellent. Room was clean.
Bed too soft. Terrible shower pressure.
My flight was delayed three hours which means I would’ve missed my connecting flight. I was traveling alone with my two young children and fortunately Annamaria Szabo and Shereen came to my rescue. They comforted me as a human being and then went out of their way to make sure I could reserve a room for a reasonable price. A stressful situation turned into a great experience at a hotel that I definitely will return to. Thank you for your kindness ladies! -Catherine and kids
Nice family friendly hotel in a good location with plenty of food trucks and convenience stores nearby. Waikiki Beach is about a 20 minute walk away. The beds were very comfortable, but the hotel wasn't as beautiful as the website photos. It's also not the best place if you're hoping to sleep in, as you can easily hear other guests' doors closing and foot traffic in the hallways.
To start with, the positive. The location is good. Perfect for exploring the Waikiki district and beach.
Now the negatives.
1) We arrived at the hotel at 10am following a cruise. We were aware that the official check-in time was 3pm but asked if we could check-in a little early as we had a tour that was scheduled to depart at 3.45pm and needed to freshen up and change if possible. We were finally given the keys at 3.02pm. Very helpful!
2) The hotel had been booked for us as part of a Cruise package. It therefore came as a shock to us to find that the hotel imposed an additional (and compulsory) 'Resort tax' charge of $45 (+tax) per room per night. When I questioned this I was told the Booking agent should have explained this to us - they didn't! I asked what the 'tax' covered and was told WIFI, use of bikes!, use of pool and pool towels! We had no intention of using any of these facilities but still had to pay. We have traveled the world and never before been asked to pay for facilities that should come as standard for a quality hotel!
3) Ironically, considering the outrageous 'Resort tax' there was no room maid service during our 2 day stay. We would not normally be worried - but we could at least then feel we were getting some service for our money!
4) The room was totally unsuitable - particularly for a couple of 70. There was zero room on one side of the bed or at the foot of the bed. This meant that the only way of exiting the bed at night was to climb over (and disturb) your partner. I did ask if there was any possibility of upgrading but was assured there was no other room available.
Reading my review back, I feel that a 2 star rating was generous. I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Location, cleanliness, spacious room, professional welcoming staff :)
Low Water pressure.
早餐不错.交通便利,窗外风景优美

Amazing service, I never leave reviews but service was so good I am. Issues with the room reservation and Schereen was super helpful getting a room that worked for my fam. Totally saved our trip.
We had an amazing stay at Ambassador Hotel Waikiki! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location.
A special thank you to Schereen at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, and gave us the best recommendations for places to visit around Oahu. Her tips made our trip even more special, and we truly appreciated her help.
We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hawaii. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
I went with my son and we stayed 6 nights!
Cons:
- Weak showerhead
- No real coffee machine
- No microwave
- Housekeeping every other day (not a big deal to me), but maybe to some.
- Rooms are cleaned way too late. From my experience, rooms should be done cleaning by 3 pm because the last thing you want to see coming back to your room at 5 pm is the room still being cleaned.
- Old bloodstain on bedsheet which was addressed right away. Thank you!
Pros:
- location!!
- You can text front desk and they are super responsive!
- Staff are all super friendly and helpful.
- Responded to inquiries immediately!
- Overall a really great stay and AMAZING location!
Location is good, short walk to beach. Parking attendants were great, especially with getting our vehicle in and out of parking. Good restaurant downstairs 15% discount with stay. The check in for us was late and we waited until 5:00pm to get into our room but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Cute pool with pool bar. The concierge was helpful with questions and things to do and see. Noise was minimal. Atmosphere was nice.
Stayed 10 nights. I want to lead with this: every staff member I dealt with was genuinely kind and clearly wanted to help. That's the only reason this isn't a lower rating.
The problems, and why they matter:
Valet is the only parking option — no self-parking, no street parking. Every single morning took ~20 minutes to get my car back. The valet staff were visibly hustling, but the lot is too narrow and the morning crew too thin for the volume. This isn't a staffing effort problem, it's a management planning problem, and it ate real time out of every day of my trip.
Room maintenance was consistently behind: non-working outlets, a shower door with no handle, a leaking faucet, and cockroaches in the bathroom. Individually minor, but the pattern points to deferred maintenance, not bad luck.
Small but telling: in-room "coffee" is a tea bag, no microwave to reheat it once it cools, and no way to add cold creamer. In Hawaii, of all places, this is a strange thing to get wrong.
What worked: the downstairs restaurant is genuinely good — skip the prawns, get the Ahi, cocktails are excellent (pricey, but that's Waikiki). Gym is small but functional, and they'll get you an iron/board on request. Pool has a nice, uncrowded vibe.
Bottom line: I wouldn't return until there's visible investment in maintenance and valet staffing. The staff deserve better management support than they're currently getting.
