Very comfortable base for Boston exploration
Pros:

Very comfortable spacious rooms. Good location on top of a T station and opposite Fenway Park. Nice welcome homemade chips/chocolate/water bottle from friendly staff. Doorman very accommodating of short-term parking.

Cons:

Location is a bit of a walk from a decent coffee shop.

Wonderful experience all made possible by staff!!
Pros:

We arrived with our adult kids for a couple of days of events and sightseeing. Location was fantastic and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Last minute request to have the rooms close together wasn’t critical and wasn’t a problem when they couldn’t accommodate. Staff went out of their way to assist with direction, recommendations and general discussion about local interests. 100% would recommend to anyone and definitely will return for future stays!!

The Commonwealth provided a great place to stay for our inaugural visit to Boston. We can’t wait to come back!
Pros:

It was in a great neighborhood! At first, we thought it was gonna be a little out of the way, but it turned out to be perfect. It was in a very peaceful area and was an easy, scenic walk to fun areas around Newberry Street. The property itself was easy to navigate, the staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were very spacious for our family and Fore.

Seriously overpriced, a bit run down, clean and comfortable bed.
Pros:

The bed and bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

It was absurdly expensive for what was provided (over $700 a night!). I asked for quiet and got placed right over a very noisy highway, a white noise machine was on when I came in. The interior is old, rugs and decor worn (hall rugs reek of floral disinfectant). No coffee in room and ordering a cup cost $27.

Handy tourist and gameday location
Pros:

First off we were upgraded. Turned out to be an accessible room so probably a fair swap. The hotel location is right next to Kenmore subway so if you are doing more than going to Fenway park it makes travel easy. It’s a quietish neighbourhood too. The room was a suite with a view towards the ballpark. The guys at the door were great and very helpful with places to go and loading up luggage etc.

Cons:

There seemed to be a lot of effort to avoid housekeeping. When we checked in we were told bed changes were every three days and we said fine as long as we can get towels/coffee/bins done. When we asked for that we were told we had asked for privacy at check in and did that mean we wanted the next night dropped from housekeeping (we didn’t ask for privacy). It was an accesible room and the shower was kitted out for those needs but that meant water everywhere as the shower curtain didn’t reach the floor. This meant a pile of wet towels because we asked for clean ones and expected wet to be taken but they weren’t. The room furniture was a bit tired with a lot of damage to the surfaces so the room didn’t look like a suite upgrade. The bed was comfortable enough and had lots of pillows but no variety in their firmness. So overall not a bad room but maybe stay a bit classier around housekeeping needs.

This hotel was fantastic. From the minute you arrive to valet, front desk, room outstanding, ammentities like coffee bar downstairs. Location was perfect too. Truly can't say enough about this hotel. Highly recommend.

Pros:

The staff was wonderful, thank you to Steve and Eddie (?). Location was key since we went to Fenway for a game. The place was clean roomie and very convenient. Loved the large bathroom towels.

Cons:

The bathroom could use a walk-in and the beds could be softer. Overall, the whole experience was wonderful.
