The Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Conference Center

I had a fantastic stay at The Blackwell Inn in Columbus, OH. The hotel is elegant, quiet, and extremely well maintained, making it a perfect place to relax or focus on work. The staff was professional, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from check-in to check-out.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with great attention to detail. The location is excellent—right on the Ohio State University campus—yet it still feels peaceful and upscale. Dining at the hotel was also a great experience, with high-quality food and excellent service.

Overall, The Blackwell Inn delivers a refined, comfortable experience with outstanding hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Columbus.

This place is such a gem, beautifully decorated and so comfortable, kind and welcoming staff, softest bedding and comfortable beds and chairs , big and sparkly clean windows! Too many wonderful amenities to mention ruin, come and experience yourself !

I had an out of town doctors appointment and this was the closest hotel for us to stay. They provided transportation to and from the appointment and even took us to dinner in the short north after! I will be staying here from now on. We had a great stay and are looking forward to many more. Thank you to the kind staff that helped us to figure out where to go for dinner, and even let us vote in their gingerbread house competition!

This experience was far beyond our expectations. The room, food, staff, and atmosphere were all perfect. Our stay was perfect from start to finish and the attention to details that the staff provided us was thoughtful and kind. The chef is top notch and the food was better than we had ever hoped for!

Grreat spot if in town for an OSU sporting event. Rooms are clean and well appointed. The two night minimum is a bit of bummer.

Best location if you have business at Ohio State - it is basically on campus and the East Lane parking garage is very convenient although if you want In / Out privileges the Valet parking is a better deal. The front desk staff are very friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and you pay for the convenience of being close. If you are going to a football game, this would be THE Place to stay given the location - would plan ahead because it books early. We did not eat at the restaurant while we were there since there are many places around in Columbus.

An excellent hotel conveniently located near the OSU stadium. The staff are exceptional. The rooms are large, thoughfully furnished and well maintained. The restaurants offer a delicious variety of food. The price is very fair for the value.

Noisy toliets and rooms. Booked presidental suite and was given a standard room instead! Great location, but was not compensated for screw up in the reservation!

Was here for a conference at Ohio State, the conference chose the hotel due to proximity. Hotel met every need I had. Convenient location to campus, a couple food places are close as well as memorabilia stores (it's on the periphery of campus and most food options are more located not on/near campus, trendy areas are more downtown).
Liked the large bottles for shampoo/conditioner/shower gel in the shower so you never worry about running out.
Wish the tv had a guide so you could see what was on instead of having to scan all the channels but minor inconvenience.
Refrigerator in room (wish it would have had a microwave to heat up leftovers, again very minor)
Overall as mentioned, no problems with hotel room.
Hotel has a car service to within 3 miles which is nice (did not use, but have used at other hotels)
Near campus shuttles and other city bus routes
Did not eat in the restaurants (we had food catered in for a dinner which was tasty), but did frequent the bar. Reasonably priced beer on tap, wished there was a little more room in the bar/dining area (only because we usually had like 10-15 people or more by the bar so it sometimes got very loud and crowded, but if it's just you or 2 people would be no problem).

Nice hotel on the The Ohio State University Campus. Very inviting front desk area. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Only issue was the walls are very thin. I could hear conversations of other occupants in other rooms as well as the TV.

Very convenient and staff were very friendly. Check in and check out procedures were simple. Hotel was close to main events on campus.

Great location and great stay. Clean, fairly upscale on-campus lodging. Valet was good, staff and accommodations were good, breakfast buffet was good. Everything went well, and would stay here again.

Needed to be close to the Shoe and it was.
