Hôtel Belles Rives

I have stayed at Hôtel Belle Rives on several occasions over the years and have always regarded it as one of my favourite hotels on the Côte d’Azur. My previous experiences have been excellent, which is why I recently suggested to a friend that we visit for lunch on the waterfront terrace.

After reviewing the menu, we were informed that the day’s special was sea bass for two, which we ordered along with a side salad and two drinks. The meal itself was enjoyable; however, we were extremely surprised when the bill arrived to discover that the fish alone cost €185.

Given that the majority of main courses on the menu were priced in the region of €20–€30, this represented a very significant increase in cost. At no point were we advised of the price of the special, nor were we given any indication that it would be so substantially more expensive than the dishes listed on the menu.

While I appreciate that fresh fish may be charged by weight and that premium restaurants command premium prices, transparency is essential. Had we been informed of the price beforehand, we could have made an informed decision. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed, disappointed and, frankly, taken advantage of.

As a returning customer who has always spoken highly of Belle Rives, this experience has unfortunately left a sour impression. My complaint is not about the quality of the food, but about the lack of price disclosure and what I consider to be poor customer service. I hope management will review this practice to ensure future guests are clearly informed of the cost of daily specials before ordering.

My husband and I went with his son and Girlfriend. We had such a lovely time, the Hotel is quite special and the staff could not do enough to make our stay so comfortable.

The beach club, the restaurants, the bar are all great with a really good atmosphere and all within a short walk of Juan Les Pins.

I would have no hesitation to recommend the Hotel.

Reserved a front row sun bed and they gave away the reservation. Attendant rude. Moved to Villa Mirae. Much better.

Patio location was amazing

This review is for the “Burberry” Beach Club at the Hotel Belles Rives only. Not the hotel*
The hotel website and Instagram had an extensive marketing description of the “Burberry Beach Club” , touting “Burberry reinterprets the hotel's Art Deco glamour through its iconic Check pattern, revisited in Belles Rives' signature blue. Parasols, sun loungers, armchairs, and even the historic 1920s elevator are adorned with this new graphic identity. Exclusive logos also grace the famous jetty and the gates of the private beach.“ so we decided to book loungers for the day.
Upon arrival it became clear that the ONLY things with Burberry branding were a pair of water skis (among rhe 5 other non branded ones) and a small ice cream cart in the outdoor restaurant area. NOTHING ELSE. Shameful false marketing and very surprising that Burberry would allow their name to be misused like that.
In addition to the lack of everything Burberry that they claimed they had, the service was appalling. We had to hunt down someone to get a menu and after ordering, it took an hour to get a citron pressé and a cappuccino after asking 3 times for them. We were not alone in having the complete lack of service as the chair next to us was and get he waited 45 minutes for ice he had requested and finally got up to get it himself, only to be chastised by the bartender.
The location is nice as is the hotel, but avoid the beach club!

Spectacular location, historic, beautiful premises, incredible service and staff. Will come back again for sure!

We absolutely loved our stay at Belles Rives. Beautiful boutique hotel in a stunning location, full of charm and comfort. The view from the terrace is spectacular and that last glass of rosé just before the sun sets is not to be missed. The staff was incredible and we will absolutely come back to Belles Rives and tell of our friends about it.
