Stunning hotel with exceptional views and amazing staff!! Dream trip and can't wait to come back!
What a special treat to revisit the same hotel (and grandeur) on the occasion of our 40th wedding anniversary and our honeymoon hotel! Other than updated blue and white awnings and umbrellas, the hotel has not changed. The service was exceptional and our room, the lunch, cocktails, and dinner were fabulous. Merci beaucoup for hosting us again; look forward to returning again in the future.
Wonderful hotel with so much character and charm. Loved the classic old-style bar with beautiful cocktails and a pianist playing classical music. The room was exceptional, as was the food and service. Make sure you dine both on the promenade and in the restaurant. Gorgeous view of the bay and the pier. Loved every minute of it.
Amazing hotel
No bad comments
We loved our view from our room and breakfast was outstanding in terms of choice, quantity and standard of coffee. A swim before breakfast each morning was convenient and a real treat.
A daily replacement of bottled water in the room would have been appreciated.
Invited by the friendly hotel manager to leave a few kind words at Tripadvisor, I am happy to repeat, what I already wrote after my first stay at this gem in the Southern French hotel industry in March 2024: This is pure luxury, and the most charming vibe I've enjoyed in a long time. Since Juan-les-Pins - otherwise also very charming - is not really welcoming these days, because La Pinède and the whole beach / boardwalk have been under construction for more than 2 years now (let alone the monster construction site of the Hotel Provençal, which has been around for 30 years or more?), a haven of beauty and quietness, of delicious food and elegance indoors and on the beach, is just what it needs to make a visitor happy. I can't praise enough the super-friendly concierges and valet team, the staff of the (breakfast) restaurant and on the beach, the receptionists, and everybody working at the Belles Rives. All seem keen to make their guests feel at home (and pampered). As if we were friends, who are joining F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda for a few cozy days and evenings in a very mediterranean vibe. Food quality - breakfast, lunch and dinner - is excellent, too. I loved the details (a book as a welcome gift, from the shortlist of the F. Scott Fitzgerald Award, fruit, fresh water and a nice note left by the housekeeper). And I loved my room: I got upgraded from sea view to direct sea view, a very lovely room on the 3rd floor with a wonderful panorama. As I said in the beginning: I've been at the Belles Rives before (2 or 3 times), and I will definitely be back.

My partner and I planned an eight-day trip through the French Riviera, with Antibes as our final stop. We stayed at Hôtel Belles Rives for a couple of days, based on a recommendation from friends in the U.S. I had reached out to the hotel in advance to let them know we were coming and were looking forward to experiencing their hospitality and they did not disappoint.
When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Christophe, the manager on duty, and Luca, the head concierge, with whom I shared a connection through a mutual friend in the hospitality industry. I made it a point to introduce myself, and we instantly hit it off. Luca made us feel truly at home. He is a real professional in the business of caring for guests. A top-notch concierge!
The hotel itself is a beautifully preserved former château, the onetime home of F. Scott Fitzgerald, situated right on the Mediterranean. It was purchased by a Russian family a century ago and transformed into a luxury hotel in the 1950s. Today, it is still owned and operated by the Estène-Chauvin family, with the current generation, the son of the original matriarch, now running the property. The location is absolutely spectacular.
One of the highlights is the Belles Rives Ski Club, located at the end of the pier. It is iconic in its own right, dating back to the 1940s and ’50s when it attracted world-famous water skiers. The beach club and sun beds were terrific, with excellent service right on the waterfront. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the beach club, and the hotel restaurant was also fantastic, with a beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the Mediterranean.
The hotel is quiet and elegant, with a charming old piano bar, a perfect spot for an evening refreshment with friends while watching the sunset over the sea.
The amenities at the hotel are excellent. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the rooms were spotless, and the bathrooms were modern, with great water pressure in the shower. They also offer a thoughtful evening turndown service, which added an extra touch of comfort and care to our stay.
The entire staff went above and beyond, attentive, gracious, and proactive without being intrusive. We had valet parking right in front of the hotel, and the staff were always prompt in bringing the car around when needed.
Our room had the largest terrace in the hotel. While the room itself was on the smaller side, the enormous terrace more than made up for it. It was the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee and relax.
A special thanks as well to Chris, the bellman, who greeted us every time with the most wonderful smile and charming personality. He was an absolute delight every time we encountered him coming and going from the Belles Rives, one of those people who makes your stay that much more enjoyable.
I can’t say enough about this beautiful part of the French Riviera. Hôtel Belles Rives was absolutely amazing, and I would return in a heartbeat.
A big thank-you to the entire staff at Belles Rives for making us feel so at home in your Mediterranean château!
I am so glad we picked this hotel. It was my first time staying in Antibes and glad we did. The hotel and room were beautiful. The front desk couldn’t have been more helpful. I’m always full of questions. We ate dinner on the water there once and loved it. Lobster risotto and steak. One night we just had snacks in the bar. We didn’t try the fancy restaurant. We took Uber to Old Town almost every day and shopped and ate at outdoor caffès. Uber was so easy and convenient. I’d say my favorite time was the day we spent at the hotel beach area. It was expensive but between the drinks, food and swimming it was so much fun and worth every penny. We ended up ordering hamburgers from room service that night and found a football game on TV.
I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.
We had a lovely two night stay. Great location with a private beach club attached. (No sand) but lovely with a bar and nice restaurant. Book early as gets a bit hectic as they are in high demand.
We ate at the Michelin restaurant and it was very nice but at over 800 USD that is what you would expect. Has some room for improvement but if you enjoy fine dining you will find it as a nice evening.
The concierge's fantastic and most helpful. Always was able to find a solution, taxi or dinner suggestion.
Cool bar and outside terrace for breakfast and cocktails. The breakfast was quite nice.
The rooms are part small and I mean really small! I think we may have been in a tier which may have been the smallest so may get a bit better with other options. Only a few rooms with showers and the step In tubs are not ideal so I would not book again unless I could guarantee a shower room facing the Med. They have French doors where the views are lovely.
Nice stay with good amenities.
