Castlerosse Park Resort

Stayed in the holiday homes, very comfortable, great location with view over the golf course and lakes. Very relaxing atmosphere. Leisure centre on site also. This was our second visit and will definitely be back.

Location is great, accommodation is slightly dated but spacious. Hot water was an issue as some days and night the water did not get hot and with 4 small children that was not pleasant.

Lovely hotel. The location is beautiful and it had great facilities for a family.
My negative was the leisure centre I found the lady Ciara very abrupt and bullish in her manner. She hunted kids from the kids pool when we were there and it looked awful as their parent was sitting on the bench while she gave out as it seemed that swimming lessons were on. Then when the patent and kid(s) returned to sit back down the kids took up more seating so other adults had no where to sit. It would leave a bad taste for me as there was no need for her disrespectful approach. They are only children at the end of the day and were doing no harm.

Beautiful property, breathtaking views and the cabins were so spacious overlooking Killarney national park. Fresh air, super chill, laid back vibe with a wonderful accommodating staff to match. Pool, hot tub and sauna super clean and fantastically managed. Food and service were great! Close enough to town but far enough away. If we end up back in Killarney Castlerosse is where we will be!

Where to start?
What an amazing place, the reception staff are so welcoming and the general air of the hotel itself is just so inviting.
The location within the national park over looking the lakes is incredible - cycling or walking with children is a dream as there is no fear of traffic and every amenity is on your doorstep.
The rooms are lovely -we had a double and 2 singles for the children and it was ideal. The complimentary shower gels, shampoo and water are a lovely touch.

We stayed for 2 nights during Halloween - 2 B&B and 2 dinners and it was out of this world. It was amazing value for the money and the dining experience was fabulous.
Breakfast was lovely with a well stocked buffet or a hot menu of special orders. A great selection of all manor of breakfast foods, cereals/ breads/ cakes. Beautiful fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses and meat. very well maintained, refilled and excellent service from being seated to being served.
The dinner menu changed every night and there was a gorgeous selection of food - fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Our two children had the Salmon both nights and they were delighted, which is not an easy feat. Service from the waiting staff was excellent - they were friendly and courteous at all times.
The leisure centre pool is great and very child friendly. There is a kids club though we did not avail.
Overall a brilliant experience, we will most definitely be back, in fact I cannot wait.

1st break away since our youngest daughter fell gravely last year, and the fact that she has medical needs now. As it was hard to book an interconeting room for more than 1 night thought it best to book 1 of their self catering cottages. It was perfect considering all the medical equipment & supplies we had with us. Our daughter was nervous in going away but by the time we were checking out she didn't to leave. The only complanits, it wasn't a long enough & the waeather which can't be helped.

As always, absolutely fantastic stay. We stayed in the woodland cottages. Spotlessly clean. Lovely layout. Has everything you could need. Used facilities of leisure centre and bike hire. Ate in bar twice. Tim was absolutely fantastic. Great service, staff all very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend having at least one meal in the bar. The view is amazing. Food is lovely and good choice. Tim runs the bar/restaurant so well and it is spotlessly clean.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel and the leisure centre. Breakfast is perfect!

We have just returned from our 4th visit to the Castlerosse Park Resort in Killarney. There were 3 generations in our party and we all enjoyed our visit so much. There is something for everyone to do here. The kids loved the pool in the leisure centre. the Moms and Dads had a round of golf on the renowned golf course and the grandparents loved the walks in the national park on the grounds. We all enjoyed the ambience and the welcoming staff in the hotel. Every one of them was friendly ,helpful and so nice. Nothing was too much trouble.The beds were comfortable and the rooms very quiet. The food was delicious and plentiful. Lastly,there was no shortage of safe parking.We have already booked our next visit.!

Failure o have hot water until after 8 am is not acceptable and failure to tell us this at check in made the situation worse.
Laundry was charged to me that was paid for in cash.

Helpful staff after late arrival

We were a mixed group and took a Golf Lodge (2 large double/twin rooms en suite) a woodland setting cottage with 2 Double rooms and 2 hotel bedrooms. All were spotless, well appointed with a couple of minutes walk to the hotel facilities, restaurant, bar, leisure centre, golf, bike hire and all overlooking the Lakes of Killarney in the National Park. Killarney is a 5 minute drive away and the 2 x 18 hole championship courses next door to the Castlerosse. There is always an option to stay and Kenmare House we did look at it but for our dynamics it was not the right fit this time - its sleeps 14 in luxury

This is our second visit. Last year we stayed in one of the hotel rooms and this time, because it was more cost effective, we were booked into one of the hotel's holiday houses. The accomodation was not as good as staying in the hotel. Although clean, the house was a little tired and in need of renovation.
We enjoyed breakfast in the hotel and evening meals in the bar. The bar food was good and, on the evenings that Tim was working, the staff were attentive. Unfortunately, on our third evening, Tim was not working and we just felt ignored. Service was slow even though there were three staff serving and the bar was less than half full.

We stayed in the self-catering golf lodges on site as we walked the kerry way. Accommodation was perfect, lovely warm water for baths and showers, fully equipped kitchen, use of pool, jacuzzi and sauna a bonus, already recommending to anyone interested.
The hotel staff we encountered were absolutely 5*, exceptionally friendly, helpful and nice, thank you

Nice hotel in a beautiful park

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view out the window of the restaurant (and our room) was astounding. The staff were wonderful.

Just home from 8 night at the bungalows at the Castlerosse Hotel. Had a fantastic time there. A great place to chill out. A very family friendly hotel that provides a great service. Bar food was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and located beside the national park which has lovely walks etc. Slept well in a very comfortable cottage that was neat, tidy and warm. The head barman looked after us very well and we enjoyed the little communications with him about the hotel services. I will hopefully return again next year.

This was such a needed respite in our travels. We stayed in one of the holiday homes where there was plenty of room to spread out and we could cook our own meals if we wanted or go to the on site pub/restaurant. Reception is friendly and if you don’t have everything you need, just ask.

Just back from another fantastic holiday at Castlerosse. We have been going here for the past 10 years and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. We usually book 3 or 4 cottages or golf lodges. These are very spacious and well equipped with very comfortable beds. We love the fact that Castlerosse is situated in the National Park and we can cycle safely off-road. The service in the bar and restaurant is excellent and we have celebrated a few milestone birthdays here. I have to say that Tim is always amazing to deal with and is like our personal event organiser making sure everything runs smoothly. I cannot praise him highly enough for making us feel special. All booked again for next year and looking forward to it already.
