Pros:

We’ve now stayed at Elite Plaza in Gothenburg three different times, and that alone says everything. Every visit has been consistently wonderful. The location is perfect for walking the city, the rooms are comfortable and beautifully kept, and the overall atmosphere feels both elegant and welcoming.
The staff truly make the experience special. Friendly, professional, and always helpful, they make you feel more like a returning guest than just a reservation number. Breakfast is excellent, with plenty of options and a cozy setting to start the day.
Each time we come back to Gothenburg, staying here feels easy and familiar. It’s officially our go-to hotel when we’re in the city. Highly recommend.

Good and not so good points!
Pros:

I almost needed a shoehorn to get into the room - to be fair, it was a single room, but even so was extremely small. . The carpet and furnishings were a bit shabby, the bed was too soft and the temperature was far too warm - even with the window open and minus 5 outside! Maybe they have better rooms at a higher rate! Having said all that, the building itself is very elegant, especially the dining area and the reception staff were very helpful. The gym and sauna in the basement are great and the breakfast had a super selection of items. The central location is also a plus.

Nice, central hotel but be aware of room facing courtyard
Pros:

My first impression was really good because the staff let me check in almost two hours earlier than the regular time for check in. I was on a business trip and it was snowing a lot, so it was really appreciated to be able to sit down in a quiet room to do some work. Plus points for a bath tub! The atmosphere of the buildning was nice, the room was clean, breakfast was great and the location quite central with good connections via public transport. Unfortunately, I ended up getting a room with windows facing the "courtyard", which simultaneously is the restaurant/breakfast hall. The very first thing I noticed was that it was really warm in the room, even after turning down all the heating, and the consequence of opening the windows was a really intense smell of food (think: cooking fat, french fries, oily pancakes) and noise coming from the yard at early hours. Being surrounded by this smell an entire night definitely made me lose some sleep, which was a bummer. If you are sensitive to smells, sounds and warm rooms with mediocre air conditioning I would advise you to ask them for another type of room beforehand if possible. I'm sure I just had some bad luck and that the other rooms are fine, but I still have to consider this experience i my overall rating.

Beautiful hotel, central location, with a cracking breakfast.
Pros:

Beautiful grand hotel, the location is central and perfect for exploring Gothenburg .The city is very walkable, there is also a tram stop just across the road.
Our room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable, the hotel is immaculately clean.
The buffet breakfast was brilliant, lots to choose from with hot & cold options all fresh and regularly replenished. Coffee from the machine was so good.
Our flight was delayed and we arrived at the hotel at 3am, despite the late hour we were greeted by a welcoming friendly gentleman on reception. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
Can’t recommend this hotel enough, just book it.

Helt supert! Hotellet ligger sentralt og det er bare å ta en tur til alt man ønsker å besøke. Hotellet har sin egen restaurant. Vi har ikke spist middagen der, men frokosten var veldig bra uansett hva man ønsket å spise. Bygningen selv er historisk og veldig stilig. Alt i alt, en veldig god opplevelse.
