Location perfect and a warm atmosphere after being out all day it was nice to have a coffee and restbin the comfy chairs. Very helpful when booking trips. Providing useful information. Fabulous view from our room.

We arrived at the hotel late afternoon, and in heavy snow. The welcome from the guy on reception was fantastic, he advised us where the best/cheapest places to park were, and also the best places to eat. It also helped that he was from Yorkshire, as are we. We had booked a standard double room and although it was quite small it was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was OK with the usual continental choices, my only critisism would be is that the food area was a bit cramped, and at times very busy.
The location of the hotel is excellent. It's just a short walk down to the waterfront, and around a 15 minute walk to the harbour area. The main shopping street is just a two minute walk away
Overall this is a great hotel. It's not the biggest hotel, but we would definately stay again, although we would upgrade to a bigger room.

Good Central location, walking distance to the main streets. Not far from bus stop 6, where most of the pick ups are for the tours, etc.
Clean rooms, just watch the shower as it floods the whole bathroom. Only major let down was the breakfast, as they served nothing hot, which it's great when it's -5° and you want something to warm you up, very basic breakfast hardly any choice, not sure it's worth the money, wouldn't pay for this again.

Had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were warm and clean we had everything we needed. There was a hairdryer in the room, a fridge and a kettle for your use. There was hair and body wash in the shower. The breakfast supplied was continental - porridge, cheeses, hams, rolls, toast, pastries, hard boiled eggs, tea, coffee, juice.

The location was great as it was in the centre of town. A little noisy sometimes as there is an Irish bar opposite but it didn’t bother us. The staff were really friendly and were happy to advise and help with anything.

When I next visit Iceland I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel is located perfectly at the heart of the Reykjavik city center with BSI bus terminal 25mins walking distance but 15mins by bus with key bus stops located at 2-4mins walking distance. Most of the tours start from these bus stops so its easy to travel. Hotel is also located downtown with all pubs and restaurants nearby and grocery stores just besides it. Hotel reception is also 24*7 and also offered us coffee and had a nice chat while we were waiting for airport bus after checkout. Would definitely recommend anyone who want to base here for Iceland travels.

If you wanna be in the middle of the town and be able to walk to most anything, this is the place to be mostly quiet from outside noise, but you will hear noises from inside basic rooms clean. I would recommend you make sure that they understand how many times you want cleaning.

We liked everything and the staff were lovely at the reception and other staff as well.

The location is quite convenient and the neighborhood environment is so friendly to visitors. The service of the reception is so nice and offered so much information to me.

Lite för lite alternativ. Hade önskat några fler brödsorter och pålägg. Ibland blev det tomt ochdet tog ett tag innan det fylldes på. Men allt kändes fräscht.

Hotel is lovely. I booked room only so diddnt eat breakfast at the hotel. The room was just what was needed. Clean and tidy and a good view. Hotel is very warm and staff are so friendly and helpful. 100% recomend and il be back

Location is great. You can walk everywhere. It’s 300mts away from bus stop #6 (you need that info for the tours with pickup). Staff is very attentive and friendly, always willing to help.
Breakfast was good (no scrambled eggs to be found in Iceland). Rooms are clean and have a hair dryer and a kettle with instant coffee and bags of tea. I would recommend staying here, for sure.

Brilliant hotel. Farouk was wonderful, helping us to get to places. The location is perfect for the sea front and shopping and eating. It is easy to get to the bus stops from the hotel The breakfast buffet was lovely and we appreciated the variety . The rooms were spacious and VERY clean.

My second visit to this hotel and again I felt it was great again. Farooq (Who asked me to say he was the most handsome man of the staff) and Rushka were brilliant on the front desk as they were on my first visit. Nothing was too much trouble. evening staff and housekeeping were also very pleasent.
This is not a fancy hotel but the location, cleanliness, and staff make this a wonderful hotel. The hotel does not have a bar but that is not a problem as there are plenty of bars and restaurants within a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
Rooms were average and basic but they were very clean and sleep quality was OK. I am not looking for fancy as I hoped to be to busy sightseeing to be in my room. Depending where your room is depends on noise levels. There is a bar directly across the road and this can be quite noisy at the weekend.
Breakfast was a continental affair (breads, meats, cheese, eggs, porridge, juice etc) and this was a good way to start the day . The atmosphere of this small hotel is laid back and not over stated and I would recommend to anyone. I am currently planning a third visit to Iceland I will definitely be booking Hotel Klopp.

This is our second stay at this hotel, having also visited in January 2025.

We enjoy this hotel due to its central location being close to shops, restaurants, the seafront & harbour.

We find the hotel team to be very good, always friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is good and we enjoy the breakfast which consists of toast, jams, spreads, ham & cheese; porridge; fruit; pastries. Tea, coffee, cocoa and fruit juices.

Our room had a kettle with drinks sachets/tea refreshed on cleaning days, every other day was fine for us.

We will stay at this hotel again.
