Customer service sucked…. Dog smell everywhere

The location was good

Cons:

The staff were not helpful at all. I asked about late check out the night before I was going to check out and was told it would be $25 but to call in the morning. Called in the morning talked to the front desk girl and she told me that she could give me until 12 at no charge. Got a call at 11 from the manager that I would need to check out by 11:30 or I would be changed $50. Explained that I was told I had until noon. Her reply was she spoke to the girl and she said she never said that… ummm what?!!! I was about 20 min away and there was no chance I would be checked out by 11:30. Explained that I would not be paying because I was told I had until noon and I would be on my way to check out before noon. Manager was so rude over the phone but when I arrived she acted like nothing ever happened. Also both nights when we left for dinner someone had let their dog pee by the door and it stunk so bad!!!! I’m all for pets being allowed but it smelled like dog everywhere. I would not stay here again.

Central location and good value but limited amenities
Pros:

Location was good. Central. Easy 15 min walk to the village. Room was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Breakfast options were very limited and packaged. Bathroom had shampoo upon asking which was inconvenient. Also had to request water glasses and none were available so we were offered ceramic mugs. Also only available upon asking.

Pros:

The staff is awesome very helpful always asking how's your stay and day going. Checking in is so simple fast next thing you know your in your nice clean room. Highly recommend.!

Cons:

Nothing to complain about here. If there was I would mention it. But really I got nothing.

Amazing stay!
Pros:

Amazing experience! Very helpful staff and great location. The pool is amazing and the rooms are very spacious and clean. Highly recommend.

All in all it was good because we only stayed one night.
Pros:

Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked having a refrigerator and microwave.

Cons:

We had to ask for things like silverware. There were no plates or cups and it was pretty bare-bones. We're used to having a kitchen with everything there like we get in a timeshare or Airbnb.

not bad but not that great, overpriced on the weekends for what it was.
Pros:

The bed mattress was cozy . made for a good nights rest. the room itself overall was comfortable. i enjoyed the mini kitchen area along with the nice tv and closet area.

Cons:

located right next to the freeway so it gets loud at night. i had ants crawling all around my sink area, on the walls and on the floors which was unpleasant. the bed frame itself is metal and not connected to the floor so any wrong movement and the bed frame was shifting around leading to pillows falling on the floor from behind.

They advertise breakfast. There really is no breakfast. Their breakfast consists of coffee with terrible creamer. A small package of oatmeal and a granola bar. No milk for your oatmeal. So pretty much you are eating a prepackaged oatmeal dry. The electricity went out in part of the room which was never fixed. I had to change rooms late at night.

Perfect for families
Pros:

I just had the most lovely stay at extended stay due to Rafiq and all the people that work here who are absolutely wonderfully kind, considerate, thoughtful, and helpful. I need a dishes and pants so I could cook. They took care of it. I needed more toilet paper. They took care of it. I needed to wash clothes. They showed me how to find the laundry and how to wash clothes they made every effort to extend kindness and helpfulness, and it made our stay here so lovely and from now on, we decided we will only stay at extended stay hotels because of this.

One of the best and I travel often
Pros:

Let me start by saying, if you’re looking for a place that actually feels like home instead of just another hotel room with four walls and a checkout time this is it. Extended Stay Carlsbad Village by the Sea delivers peace, comfort, and a personal touch that’s almost impossible to find these days.

I don’t have a problem with the property to be honest.
