Location! This was our second time here in two years back to back. One of the best five star hotels in Matera. With an amazing staff.

Our first reaction was…WOW!!! The hotel is grand and the decor is top notch. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The location is conveniently close to Piazza Duomo. The view is spectacular from our room. The staff is professional and very pleasant and friendly. They were able to provide us with necessary information. The breakfast choices are endless and everything is so fresh. Highly recommend this place. Keep up the great work!!

It was all beautiful, my only note would be the junior suite is more of a large double room with big bathroom/ spa bath.

For older patrons - the steps. One must be mindful, yet we were super pleased that to get to our room we only had to navigate a few steps.
We loved our stay. The staff is amazing! We were taken care of well by Giuseppe, Lorenzo and Ibrahim! We loved the breakfast, best view from the rooftop terrace in town and the little quiet spaces to read outside of our room. The location is ideal for a calm, restful few days and the rooms are extremely well designed and beautiful. Thank you!
Would be amazing if there was a pool or small spa to add to the experience but this may not be possible in the space.

This hotel had a very luxurious feel and the staff and service were amazing. The location was great right in Matera old town and the rooms was very spacious with super comfy beds and very clean. I will totally recommend it.
Hotel molto bello ubicato in una delle zone più panoramiche di Matera. La camera grandissima e con tutti i comfort. Abbiamo anche cenato una sera nel ristorante del Quarry che ha una vista spettacolare ma soprattutto abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Una menzione particolare allo staff tutti molto gentili e preparati.
Non c è stato nulla che non ci sia piaciuto.

Fabulous location and special views
Staff excellent and very helpful
Need to be able to walk carefully on the old stone streets and paths which can be slippery due to age .
The staff were incredibly friendly, warm and helpful. The location is superb. Really good shower and comfy bed and an amazing view. The jacuzzi in the room was great.
We are happy overall and would stay there again. However, if something could be improved, I’d say greater variety for breakfast and the ability to lower air conditioning temperatures below 22.
