Fire
Pros:

Well we love the Ocean Hotel and have stayed there many times but on this occasion the hotel had a fire and there was no fire alarm and no one knew what was happening. It was early morning and people would have just been waking up the entire hotel was evacuated and we were taken out on the 7th floor through the window by the fire brigade. It could have been much worse. Luckily I don’t think anyone was killed but nothing was reported in the media.

The hotel staff was really friendly. We were allowed to check in early as we arrived at the hotel following an early flight. It could have been perfect if there were more places to hang clothes in the toilet, but the overall experience was great!

Just a average hotel based on Guangzhou scene, best part is location is in centre of the city , Guangzhou extend a lot so everything is near by but not walking

Pros:

Nice hotel but staff lies the price of breakfast. Quoted one price then charged another. Getting taxi a nightmare. Bell boys would arrange Didi but then charge five times fair n pocket the money. Not happy

Pros:

Stayed with my wife which was not Chinese on the stay and when we come back to the room they thought she was a working girl and requested her to sign in with her id as they said she is working girl to her . She was mostly embarrassed and they made us go to the check I. Counter and made a big joke about showing her id which was in our room . Upon heavily explaining to them check your computer many times they finally did and said ok go . No apologies were given
